This Independence Day, the Ministry of Tourism has organised Bharat Parv – A festival showcasing rich cuisines, culture, and handicrafts of various states of India. We had visited Bharat Parv at Red Fort earlier this year soon after Republic Day and enjoyed this carnival of art, dance, and sumptuous street food of Indian states.

10 reasons why Bharat Parv is a must-do for every Delhiite:

  1. Bharat Parv is a celebration of living in a free state and reminds us the advantages of independence.
  2. You get the best of street food from all parts of India at Bharat Parv.
  3. This time it is being organised at the beautiful and sprawling Rajpath Lawns.
  4. Bharat Parv is organised by the Ministry of Tourism and given our previous experience of Bharat Parv 2015, the event is always very well managed.
  5. The performances at Bharat Parv are a colourful melange of folk and classical dance forms from different Indian states.
