Every now and then there’s a day when you want to forget your diet plan, your new year resolution, your weight gain issues etc and all you want is to indulge. They call it a Cheat Day. And you are just not satisfied with anything “regular” on a cheat day. You want something seriously tasty and sinful.

Well Bhangra Kitchen replies to your SOS on such a day. Based in Rajouri Garden’s, J Block DDA market which is a cluster of non veg eateries, Bhangra kitchen totally stands out for its extra ordinary food. Highly recommend by a friend who discovered this place from a facebook group of foodies, we gave it a shot recently.

Since it was already post dinner time we straight away ordered main-course. Siddharth, the owner of Bhangra Kitchen suggested we go for their specialty, Bhangra Chicken. It’s a gravy dish with stuffed chicken pieces. Stuffing was delicious, chicken succulent and gravy was just right on spices. We had it with Plain Naan and Tandoori Roti which was made to perfection. We also ordered a Dal Makhani. Though Dal Makhani is a common dish in north India and available at almost every Indian restaurant, very few people are capable of making an outstanding Dish out of this simple Kali Daal. Bhangra Kitchen’s Dal Makhani can give many a high end restaurants a run for their money. We loved it. We also ordered a cheese garlic naan. This pizza-meets-naan bread, could be a standalone dish in it self. Quite delicious….

Also not to miss their coleslaw salad that is served complimentary. Sweet in taste, this creates a delicious contrast with rest of the dishes.

The servings/portions being generous in quantity, makes this place a value for money.

They do not have a dine in area. Its more of a take away joint along with sitting arrangements for diners out in the open. Perfect place to chill out and binge with buddies on a weekend evening.

Siddharth sounds quite passionate about his restaurant and food in general. Always ready to recommend something special or to take a constructive feedback about his food. We overheard another diner telling him that he is the USP of Bhangra Kitchen. We couldn’t agree more.
