Big Yellow Door is a cool and cozy eatery in South Delhi’s Satyaniketan area. Most of their patrons are young people, as it attracts a lot of crowd from South campus colleges like Venateshwara etc. That adds to the vibe of this restaurant which is totally casual, youthful and chilled out.

We went to Big Yellow Door for dinner on a week evening. After 10 minutes of waiting we got a table. The ambiance is dark and abuzz with youngsters catching up, chatting and laughing.

We ordered a veg Tipsy-Licious Pasta (penne pasta in tomato cream sauce and flamed with vodka), Garlic Toast with Cheese and Green Apple Mojito. Pasta was fresh, spicy and a little bitter-sweet with a hint of vodka. Green Apple Mojito looked tempting, was very refreshing and is a must try. Cheese Garlic Bread was out of the world. It is a very common item but the way they prepared it made it extraordinary. Not overtly cheesy or garlicy, we wouldn’t mind going there again just to have their Cheese Garlic Toasts.

The staff is courteous and service swift. They are attentive to the requirements of each and every diner. Consequently, we give this place full marks for hospitality as well.
