Last weekend Delhi saw hoards of music fans and aspirant singers running towards JLN stadium to attend one of its kind music festival – Bollywood Music Project.  The two-day festival was a melting pot of genres such as contemporary, folk, Punjabi, rap, Sufi , pop and fusion – all from Bollywood. Bollywood Music Project was organised by Bhutani group and had partners like Hungama and Radio Mirchi.

We attended this music festival on Sunday afternoon. The venue was very well decorated in bold gold and red colors that matched the energy of the singers as well as the audience. A number of iconic artistes and musicians on three stages at JawaharLal Nehru Stadium grounds entertained thousands of people from Delhi NCR in this two-day music festival. We watched many a new Bollywood singers belting out their top hits on the stage with blaring music and smoke for effect.

Some of the noted performances we enjoyed were by singers Divya Kumar – Shefali Alvares, Kanika Kapoor, Asses Kaur, Shalmali Kholgade and Akshay Hariharan. The star surprise of the evening was singer Hariharan who mesmerised the audience with his famous songs Roja, Tu Hi Re and Dheemi Dheemi. His energy and singing prowess can give any new singing sensation a run for his money. Hariharan in his yuppy avatar managed to pull all the crowd towards the stage where he was performing and the audience went crazy listening to his songs.

Later in the evening Bollywood sensations Badshah, Amit Trivedi and Vishal Shekhar also performed for the Delhi NCR audience and we witnessed more and more people walking towards the JLN stadium during late evening hours to listen to their favorite singers and musicians.

F&B and merchandise stalls gave the Bollywood Music Project a festival / fair / carnival look and let the audience relax and enjoy the weekend swinging to their fav Bollywood tunes.
