Café Sante

Jan 9, 2017 | Eating out, Food

Venue: Peach Tree, Sushant Lok, Gurgaon
Date: December 25, 2016

Its Christmas tonight and how can we but stay away from desserts.

Paying two hoots to any dietary concern, we tried some bakery at this new café that we came across at Sushant Lok not very far from Gold Souk mall. It’s a neat place and they have some seating arrangements inside as well as outdoor.

We got a piece each of plum cake, chocolate éclair and cinnamon pudding packed. All the three items were freshly made, moderate on the verge of being subtle on sweetness, and decent portion size.  Personally, éclair is our favourite and this one did not disappoint. The creamy layer between the éclair shell was whipped to perfect softness and had a mild chocolate taste. The pudding was loaded with nuts and topped with whipped cream. The dense body was a great contrast to the soft topping. Plum cakes often tend to go overboard on sweetness. The plum cake here was aromatic of sweet spices and we loved the fact that this was moderate on sugar.  Quite Christmas we say!

They serve a host of other dishes and coffee and have a retail section for gourmet items such as a variety of cheese and cold cuts. We are coming back soon to Café Sante to try out more stuff.
