Andretta is one of Himachal Pradesh’s best kept secrets. It is an artist’s village near Palampur, with the Dhauladhar Range as the setting. We came to know about Andretta in terms of the pottery studio here – Andretta Pottery. Andretta Pottery exhibit in Delhi NCR off and on and we were so wistful about seeing the real studio someday, which, perhaps is the first studio pottery centre in India.
Trade Fair 2018 has evoked a lot of curiosity. Given that most of Pragati Maidan is under renovation, the fair is 1/4th the original size. It drops curtains on 27th November 2018. Given that tickets are not being sold at the venue and are only available at select Metro Stations, or online, it is indeed a bit of a hassle. Is it worth?
For years we have been seeing the colourful “Kondapalli Bommala” or Kondapalli toys at all handicrafts fairs in Delhi NCR. These are colourful soft wood pieces made in Kondapalli, a village close to Vijayawada. We recently got an opportunity to visit this place and here is our very own “Toy Story”.
– Dads in Delhi NCR finally had a glam moment last Sunday. LBB and Fabindia had collaborated for a Fab brunch at Fabcafe, Local Market Complex, Vasant Kunj to celebrate Father’s Day. We were invited to this attend this event with our father. The way Fabindia had adopted the totally foreign Father’s Day celebration and gave it an Indian twist was a lovely idea.

The Annual Dastkari Haat Crafts Bazaar is happening at Dilli Haat, INA during 1-15 January, 2018. Dastkari Haat, under the able guidance of crafts revivalist Jaya Jaitley, has been pursuing the cause of Indian traditional crafts and textiles for ages. It is therefore no surprise that this 32nd edition of this fair is drawing huge footfalls.
DLF Cyberhub has organised a cultural exchange festival “The Global Gate” in association with One World Foundation. The featured country this year is Afghanistan. This five days long exhibition presents a fusion of Indian and Afghani art, culture, handloom and handicraft.
