Sometimes silence speaks volumes. Last we observed silence convey a lot was in an underwater scene in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. This time Hollywood did that in a diametrical opposite space – SPACE.

IN GRAVITY, the silence does not potray the love between a man and a woman but basic human emotions are brought to surface and ooze out of screen via 3D images.

There are just two actors in the movie – Sandra Bullock and Space. George Clooney beautifully underplayed his small role. Given the huge scope for melodrama, the director steered clear of any cliche’ or over display of emotion. The disaster journey from the space to earth was heart warming yet edge of the seat throughout.

The film dwells upon the concept of silence. Living in cities, the yearning for silence has been stoked and we wish that everyone would learn to listen to the langugae of silence.
