Janpath near Connaught Place is a favourite with tourists from India and abroad. This area is quite famous among foreigners for souvenir and handicraft shopping. There’s a new tourist in this area that has created quite a buzz. Tourist is a newly launched street food bar and lounge on Janpath. It is located much before other popular restaurants in this cluster like Bunta Bar, FrescCo and Sarvana Bhawan. We recently attended their launch party.
Tourist Janpath is going to be a hotspot for Delhi’s Edgy, Cultured, Free Spirited, laid back and witty crowd. The theme has brought together two of our favorite passions – Food and Travel. The lounge’s decor and vibe is very touristy and is divided on three floors/levels with terrace being our most favourite one.
Tourist would have witnessed hundreds of photographs and selfies at the Grand launch party night. The party was attended by socialites, food bloggers, social media influencers and many party regulars. The very efficient and pleasant bartenders were on their toes throughout the launch night to serve the guests. Sheesha and some delicious finger food went well with the cocktails.
Drones are the new trend in town. We are witnessing remote operated drones shooting the party scene from the top quite frequently. Be it the Ambience Fashion Weekend or Tourist launch night, drones are everywhere.
