Venue: 3Cs Lajpat Nagar
A dish with all the right ingredients in accurate measure, cooked to perfection and yet not tasty. The film tried too hard to be different and perfect. It was a usually unusual storyline with young new faces. The film had its own charm and we liked it but what was perhaps missing was the soul.
It seems that the team – author, scriptwriter, actors in their bid to get it just right forgot to blow in some life in their acts…. somehow we didn’t feel like we were part of the film.
Having said above, music was good, acting above average and cinematography great. Practically everything is going for the film. The director was perhaps too subtle. We look forward to his loosening up a little more and taking things somewhat lightly in his next venture.
P.S. – The name of the film – “Kai Po Che” – Why on earth??? What’s the connect? Any suggestions?
