The capital city Minstrels – perhaps the most popular choir group in Delhi are having a series of concerts during this week.

The first performance was at the Embassy of the Holy See – Vatican (Vatican Embassy) Chapel.  For a refreshing change this was at 11 in the morning.  At this relatively early hour on a Sunday morning, it was a pleasant surprise to see the Chapel overflowing with listeners.

They sang a handful of hymns in various languages like Arabic, Hindi, English, etc.  As usual the rendition under the conductor Carolin Remy was impeccable and kept the audience spellbound.

The duration was perfect 1 hour or so and they concluded the performance by singing an extended version of the immensely popular song by Whitney Huston and Mariah Carey “You will when you believe”.

They are having more concerts during this week.  For a music experience away from DJs and Bollywood concerts you should most definitely try this.
