Two lives are lost as a consequence of the rape of the 23 year old girl in Delhi. The incident has shook the nation and there are public protests everywhere. Additionally, there is international condemnation. Notwithstanding, it appears from newspapers etc., that rapes are still unabated.
The general view is that to remedy the issue, India needs stronger laws, more vigilant policing, distress helplines etc. Agree.
What is equally, if not more, important is introspection – as a nation – contemplation of our thoughts and desires and conduct.
