Parantha is Delhiites beloved breakfast for decades. Best tasted at home, this humble bread has made its way to dhabas, hotels, five stars and now even specialty restaurants. Some of the famous paratha places in Delhi, like Moolchand Paratheywala or Parathawala Gali  have dedicated patronage and are loaded with customers almost every day of the week. Though delicious and affordable, the flipside of such places is self service and / or the lack of proper dining space.

While strolling around South Delhi’s Meherchand market, we chanced upon this new outlet called “Prantha Junction“. We were happy to see a parantha place in this area that too with a proper dine-in space. The ground floor was still getting furnished and we sat on the first floor. The restaurant is spacious and has wide sofas and chairs with plush interiors for a paratha place.

We ordered a mix veg paratha combo, curd and a plate of choley bhaturey. The mix veg paratha was a tandoori stuffed paratha served with choley. We liked the paratha with pickle and curd. The choley they served was best paired with Bhaturey that we tried next. These bhaturey were jumbo sized and we had a mild heart attack looking at just the size of these. If we knew, we would have not dared ordering this. Taste wise this was alright but not as good as their parantha. We felt terribly heavy after having one bhatura each and it also killed our appetite for next two days.

They have an la cart menu as well, we are going to try that on our next visit. We would definitely recommend this place for their tasty and affordable parathas.
