Sattviko is a very good instance of terrific publicity. Impressed by all the buzz we visited Sattviko for an early dinner. We ordered Maxican Spinach Quesadillas and Quad Burger. Quesadillas were similar to green paratha wrap with spicy vegetable fillings. Like the Quesadillas the Quad Burger also had grilled vegetable filling. Though Quesadillas were terribly spicey and strong in taste, the burger was absolutely plain.

For the main course we ordered a stuff paratha thali. This contained two stuffed parathas, rice, yellow dal and raita. This was better than the other things we had this evening. We ended with the dessert, frozen banana chocolate. This turned out to be just that- a banana that was hard because of freezing, dipped in chocolate sauce and some pieces of watermelon. We didn’t like the use of watermelon in almost everything. From salads to frozen dessert everything was served with a few bits of watermelon.

Is it to make the food look more fruit based or so to speak Sattvik?? Didn’t work for us.

“The proof of a pudding is in its taste” – and this is where Sattviko doesn’t score well. They have concentrated a lot on presentation and plating of dishes and whatever they served looks so appetizing but taste wise there is nothing much to write home about. All beauty no brains.

There wasn’t a single dish that will make us visit Sattviko again… but on second thoughts the place has positive vibes and yeah maybe on a vegetarian day we’d like to try out some other dishes.
