Sense of Spirits is another addition to Gurgaon’s Sec 29 which is overflowing with restaurants, breweries and cafes. This is located right above Warehouse Cafe and parking at this place was not a big issue at least when we went there on a Saturday afternoon. The place looked decent, was spacious and had positive vibes to it. True to the name, the place is mostly about drinks as the bar is wide and impressive and in your face the moment you enter Sense of Spirits. We liked the dragon flies theme design on walls and throughout the decor.

Drinks & Starters

We had a Bailey’s based flambéed drink to start with. We had a few starters, vegetarian and non vegetarian, both along with some beer pints. Tortilla crusted fish and Thai style veg spring rolls were the better starters from whatever we tried. Other starters like drums of heaven, Sangam kebabs, Galouti were not as impressive. We also tried a veg pizza and Anardana Paneer tikka and to gulp it down we had a Toffee bite cocktail. This was again Bailey’s based drink with some chocolate shavings sprinkled on top. This looked pretty but was too sweet for our tastebuds.

Desserts

We jumped to desserts right after the starters. We had Lemon cheesecake and Tiramisu. Sadly these were pre-made frozen desserts and lacked flavor and softness that are inherent to these dishes.
This place can be tried if one is looking for a break from the madness of this area and wants to focus on drinks more than food.
