Venue: PVR Saket courtyard

Recently when we went to PVR Saket to watch Neerja  it was early evening and we were looking for a place to have quick dinner. Just beside PVR Saket in the courtyard we found an outlet of Southy. We are frequenters to South Indian food places and have already reviewed Chidambaram, Sai Sarovar Udupi, Carnatic Cafe and Sagar Ratna. Southy here is more of a window counter with a few tables and chairs outside. We liked this no nonsense arrangement as this matched the hurry we were in.

We ordered Malabar Parotta and Veg Kurma combo along with a tried and tested Masala Dosa. None of items were bad. The Malabar Parotta combo had two heavy layered parathas along with mix veg gravy korma and typical South Indian chutneys. This was substantial for two of us. The Masala Dosa was decent too. The food was functional and simple. That said there was no oomph factor. Not complaining, because we were done with our meals within 30 minutes. Since we were at a South Indian place, we also had Filter Coffee after dinner.

Southy would work well if one is looking for nothing fancy but just a quick meal and we, sure were not disappointed with this quick simple South Indian food in South Delhi.
