Sushi Junction and Clean Eating

These days Delhi NCR is all foggy – like in a volcano – all smokey and gray. Almost everybody is sneezing or coughing away. Doctors are recommending deep cleansing detox diets. And although, small mercy we didn’t need to visit a doctor, we decided to eat a special but clean weekend dinner by ordering online from Sushi Junction.

We went the full hog and ordered salad, sushis and fried rice. Among sushis we ordered California Non-Veg; Tuna and to satiate our vegetarian cravings, Asparagus-Tempura- Cream Cheese. We finished with Kimchi Fried Rice with Chicken and Eggs.

In combination with wasabi and soy sauce, the sushis opened up our taste buds. They were a tad smaller that what we are used to having. Nonetheless, they were bursting with taste. The rice were perfectly cooked and the toppings were fresh and succulent. The crispies on some of the sushis were fun. Moreover some of the sushis were rolled in layers that not only surprised the taste buds but the colourful lines were a photographer’s delight. We kept munching their house salad – crunchy lettuce, olives etc on the side.

Although we were done, we also had the fried rice to stomach 🙂 Frankly we do not expect much from a fried rice and it is more to satiate our Indian chawal craving. But the kimchi fried rice was uniquely flavoured – somewhat Indian and yet very oriental – shreds of kimchi leaves and chicken created the taste. The condiments that we had – peanut sauce and left over wasabi from sushi added to the whole magical experience. Sum it up – the fried rice was a surprise.

The Sushi Junction order was a delightful experience. Light, filling yet a welcome change from what we ordinarily we have. They have outlets in South Delhi and Gurgaon. Brownie points for before time delivery!

Do try out Sushi Junction – something light and clean yet a Fun-Do for the season.
