Thai cuisine is a combination of flavours, colors, aroma and texture. While Thai food can get spicy, the heat is very different and milder than Indian food. Given the abundance of raw / fresh ingredients in this cuisine, Thai food is easy to digest and is very suitable for the ongoing crazy days of super high temperature. J W Marriot at Aerocity near the airport is holding a Bangkok Food Festival. We visited this event last weekend to taste some Thai food.
After trying out several fancy, stylish, theme based, awarded and hyped food joints in Delhi, when we crave for just simple, delicious and no fuss non veg food, we go to The Tandoor. To find out, what makes this place a perfect place to sit and have a peaceful non vegetarian dinner, read on…
Udupi Sai Sarovar at Central Market, Lajpat Nagar is not an oft discussed place in foodie circuits. We wonder why! This is our go-to place for vegetarian food and they have recently revamped the restaurant. The place has become even better.
The last couple of years have been great for the hospitality industry in Delhi NCR. New restaurants open up in this region every other day. To promote themselves, restaurants invite food reviewers to taste their food and write reviews. Some get invited several times in a week or at times in a day – at the cost of their health and well-being. But a food blogger can have his cake and eat it too. Here is how…
As bloggers we get to sample various food places and are very happy to have a space to share our take. What matters most to us is the complete experience. The California Boulevard is a rather fancy place. But is it worthy enough to sacrifice our much loved home dinners – dal – roti – rice – fish? We decided to check for ourselves.
Biriyani lovers swear by their choice and are always on the look out for new places. Of late, the going has been really good for them with a plethora of Biriyani joints opening up all over Delhi NCR. There is tough competition in the Biriyani handi and it would take some dum for these places to survive. In this Biriyani- eat – Biriyani world, we tried the new Biryani place – Biryani Art in Gurgaon.
The huge New Delhi Palate Fest was organised at PSOI Cub, Nehru Park, Chanakyapuri. The event comprised a huge agglomeration of stalls by almost all big names in the hospitality industry. The visitors were terribly spoilt for choice in terms of quality and variety of food. The program was peppered with sessions by celebrity chefs and music by live bands. The turnout was stupendous and the Traffic Police had a trying time in handling the cars in that area. The Festival establishes that Delhi is still unarguably the food capital of the country.
B Bar at Select Citywalk mall, Saket, serve Asian food from Japanese, Chinese, Malay to Thai cuisine. It is an impressive looking place and the food is nice. We were particularly impressed with Maki Rolls and prawn dimsums. It may be a little over-the-top for regular meals but is apt for celebrations.
