The Old Delhi Food Festival was held between 25 to 26 March, 2017 at India Islamic Cultural Centre. The venue was overflowing with diners and people driving down Lodhi Road faced the brunt. Nonetheless, we were happy to manage a parking spot and went in for a taste of famous food from old Delhi without travelling all the way to Chandni Chowk!
Moon of Taj is a Taiwanese confectionery shop at Lajpat Nagar. Given our obsession with mithai we welcome this new addition in Delhi’s dessert scene. To cater to Indian sentiments, most or their desserts are eggless. We were recently invited for a review session and tried a lot of the fare.
The Grub Fest, apparently India’s biggest food festival, came back to Delhi NCR once again this 14th – 19th March at JLN Stadium. To keep Delhites well fed and entertained, the festival brought together some of the most popular restaurants offering their signature drinks and dishes over some music, dance, games and contests. Our favorite beer brand Witlinger was the official Pouring Partner of The Grub Fest. Grub Fest keeps coming back and we would recommend this event to anyone looking for good times
Ardor 2.0 at Connaught Place is holding an ongoing Nawabi Food Festival. They serve a wide range of Mughlai starters, main course and desserts in this range. To round off the experience they have live ghazal performance in the restaurant.
Jom Jom Malay in Ansal Plaza is the first Malaysian food restaurant in Delhi NCR. It serves a host of authentic Malaysian dishes in a less sinful avtar. We recommend this place to all our foodie friends.
Witlinger has brought some amazing beers to the Indian markets. They introduced craft beer in India and have now started a campaign under the “Now rolling” slogan. To create a buzz, they hosted a party at the restobar Lord of the Drinks at Connaught Place and we were invited.
