Morni Hills is perhaps the only hill station in Haryana. It is off Chandigarh and not very far from Delhi. We only had the weekend to our disposal and ran out of choices for popular places. Hence we headed towards Morni Hills not knowing what to expect and praying that it shouldn’t be a big disappointment.
We wanted to usher in the New Year 2017 with travel. The weather was conducive to explore places in the plains. Madhya Pradesh, the heart of Hindustan, is a neighbouring state. We inaugurated our travel to MP by a trip to Gwalior, a bare 6 hours drive from Delhi. The journey had a lot of surprises in store for us.
Delhi has a host of fun-dos. What makes it more fun is its strategic location. 6 years of regular travel and we still discover new places or old places with a lot of newness. There is no dearth of weekend trip options from here. Our recent trip to Chandigarh gave us pleasures similar to a full blown holiday – in one and half days.
North India is blessed with proximity to hills particularly Aravallis and Himalayas. The accessible parts of Himalayas are shared by Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Lansdowne is a quite hill station in Uttarakhand. Only a few hours away from NCR, Lansdowne has amazing surprises to offer.
RailYatri, a train travel service (exist on Web, Apple store & Android ) offers services to train travellers like PNR status, live train status, train time table, train between stations, food booking in train etc. Railyatri.in has everything , a train traveller in India needs with just few clicks avoiding any hassle.
Summer vacation is here and people are busy making plans. Some are fortunate to travel afar. But for others, the going is not so bad – not bad at all! The ranges of Himachal, a great respite from the heat of the plains of NCR, are easily accessible from Delhi by buses, trains or private transport. Some of these places can be covered over a weekend and are still not spoilt by tourist pressure. Khajjiar is one such gem.
