Westin Gurgaon is a lovely piece of architecture. Each space here is meticulously designed. Their open air restaurant Bara Darhi serves Old Delhi delicacies in a comfortable open air sitting arrangement. They had live music by tabla and sarangi players in the evening when we visited and we were all set for a lovely dining experience.
One Horizon on Golf Course Road is the new kid on the block in terms of luxury dining. It provides a host of cuisines – Indian, Korean and Italian at Artusi Ristorante. We recently had a review lunch here on a pleasant Sunday afternoon. It is not the regular go-to place – and here is why.
Cafe Delhi Heights has been around for a while but we have always missed this place. The other evening we were in the mood to have some version of continental food at Cyberhub. We were told Cafe Delhi Heights serves American food at Cyberhub so we headed there.
Lohri, the harvest festival in Punjab has transcended boundaries and is celebrated all over India. While there is no strict format, music and dance is essential towards celebration of this festival. To make this Lohri festival special, DLF Cyberhub had arranged a performance of Bally Sagoo by the great DJ and composer himself. We were also invited for a special dinner at Punjab Grill Tappa.
We had vouchers from The Beer Cafe, Cyberhub outlet. Three of us visited Beer Cafe here with three vouchers and had a harrowing experience. These people do not wish to honour their vouchers or treat guests hospitably. Can’t think of a worse cafe in Delhi NCR.
Posh localities already have food trucks parked regularly in the area. Others are however still opening up to it and the Delhi Food Truck Festival aimed at promoting the concept. We are up for any new experience – be it food or mode of dispensation. Hence we spent a Fun-Do evening at the 2nd edition of Delhi Food Truck Festival at Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium.
We wanted a break from the heavy duty Indian food that we were eating all around us given the festival and the wedding season. And yet wasn’t upbeat about surviving on raws and boils in this lovely weather. In such circumstance, Honk at Pullman came up with a Thai food festival just in time.
Delhi – the city of ‘parathe wali gali’, the place of ‘chandani chowk ki chaat’ can make your mouth water with the North Indian cuisines and the flavours of Punjab. Changing times have brought the world closer and we definitely have the option to order food online in Delhi and elsewhere too.
The 37th India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2017 is on in full swing. Businesses use this platform to launch new ideas among the consumers. Leonardo Olive Oi has set up a consumer experience zone at Trade Fair Pragati Maidan. They are here to push some myths away and clear our understanding about using olive oil for Indian cooking.
Sushi Junction delivers from their outlets in Delhi and Gurgaon. Apart from sushis, they have salads. dim-sums and fried rice. In fact one can create their own sushi combos too. We recently ordered dinner from here and guess what – they delivered before time!
