The Darzi Bar & Kitchen by Master Chef Shipra Khanna

Jan 14, 2017 | Eating out, Food, Nightlife

Venue:
H Block Connaught Place
Date: 14 January 2017

We have been big fans of MasterChef Shipra Khanna. We still miss Reeve – her earlier initiative with other partners. Therefore, When we were invited at the launch of her exclusive bar & kitchen The Darzi, we agreed to attend.

This restaurant by Shipra Khanna is located at the less popular H block of Connaught place outer circle. Therefore parking was a breeze. We could see pink fairy lights from the parking lot.

The restaurant space is split in two levels with an extended balcony on the first floor. The woody decor had a host of sewing paraphernalia. A wall lined with sewing machines was a big hit with shutterbugs. While sewing has little to do with restaurant services, the name Darzi and the interiors reflected that the food and drinks her were tailor made to customer’s taste.

We had a few cocktails and liked Blood Mary a lot. For once this was not pickle spicy. The bartenders were friendly and on their toes throughout the night making drinks for the guests.

We were attended by Ramesh where we were sitting. He as well as the other waiters appeared to be super hospitable.

To augur the party spirit, they had live music and dance. Actor Chandrachur Singh was also seen posing for shutterbugs with the guests.

On our way out we met Chef Shipra Khanna and wished her luck for her new venture.

It was a very pleasant evening and we look forward to returning to The Darzi Bar and Kitchen for a proper dining experience.
