Yes Minister is a new addition to the flourishing number of sports bars in Delhi. Their mainstay is their bowling facilities which are sure to attract a lot of young crowd from Delhi NCR. Along with the bowling alleys they have snooker tables, ice hockey, rotating bull, a DJ, huge LED screen etc. to keep the crowd entertained. The place is spacious and not cluttered with too many dining tables.

They also have a bar where, instead of the usual Scotch, they serve beer, fancy cocktails and mocktails. We tried a few cocktails – Thunder Bolt, Scotch Mule, Long Island Tea. Though we didn’t like most of the drinks as they were just too sweet, the bartenders were absolute darlings. Mixing drinks for a maddening crowd without loosing their patience, and also catering to special requests, they made up for the lack of that kick that was missing in their cocktails.

Coming to food, we had prawns, chicken satay and garlic toasts from starters. Service was slow and it took them forever to bring our starters. Chicken satay was good, rest was passable. We liked their dips a lot. From main course we ordered salmon and peri peri chicken. Salmon was tender but disappointingly sweet. We were told it was because of honey mustard coating. We would have preferred it sans the coating. Peri peri chicken was alright. We tried their pepperoni pizza too and this also came after long waiting and multiple reminders. It wasn’t worth the wait. This thin crust pizza left a lot to be desired.

From the list of desserts, only two were available. Chocolate Terrine and Coconut & white chocolate panacota. We tried these and these were just about ok.

We also tried our hand at bowling and this was fun. The attendant was courteous and helpful.
Overall a pleasant experience on a Friday evening.
