YOLO 21 – Review

Feb 13, 2017 | Eating out, Food

YOLO 21
is located near Delhi University among the cluster of cafes and shopping area in Hudson lane. This hang out zone is popular with students for its pocket friendly restaurants like Ricos, Hudson Cafe and Indus Flavour etc.

Its been years that we left college, we still go to this area sometimes to try out the popular restaurants. On a recent visit, we dined at YOLO 21. “You Only Live Once” is the motto/idea behind the name as well as the decor. Bright peppy colors and decent sitting area makes this cafe look quite promising.

We ordered a Mushroom Panini and Peri Peri Paneer Sizzler. The Mushroom Panini was served with French Fries and a small portion of Coleslaw Salad. The Sizzler came with an extra helping of Peri Peri, sauteed veggies and Potato mash. Both the dishes looked quite appetizing and were presented well. The taste was also nice. For dishes that look this good, we expected much more in taste. Its tough for us to pin point what was missing, but somehow the taste wasn’t that great and we refrained ourselves from ordering more dishes and straightway jumped to coffee and dessert.

We ordered a Banoffee Pie along with Cafe Latte, Vanilla Mocha and Americano. Finally something that made us go wow! Banoffee Pie was super delicious, fresh and melt in mouth.

YOLO 21 is affordable and so are other cafes in the vicinity. It did not disappoint us but didn’t also give us many solid reasons to visit again. Can be a decent option when there is long waiting at the other restaurants in the neighborhood.
