2. Qawwalis
Nowhere in the country, you can get the same experience of listening to Sufi music that’s available at Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah. All you need to do is go to visit the dargah on Thursday evenings to enjoy truly mesmerizing and swaying music.
Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah is so popular and magical that it’s been featured in many movies including Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Delhi 6, and Rockstar. The reason why the qawwalis sung here are so influential is that the lyrics are usually simple and clear, and the aura which combines the vocalist who sits in the front with a harmonium along with other singers and percussions is just spellbinding. However, words can’t do justice to the experience you can enjoy here. You need to visit the place yourself to understand what it’s all about.
