Fashion Design Council of India ( FDCI ) – An apex body of Indian fashion industry recently organised annual fashion week of India – Amazon India Fashion Week (AIFW) saw a host of designers like Ashish Soni, Masaba Gupta, J J Valaya, Gauri & Nainika, Malini Ramani and J J Valaya displaying their Spring / Summer 2017 collections. The venue was our all time favourite NSIC exhibition complex that we frequently visit for art fairs like India Art fair and United Art Fair.

Our favourite beer brand Witlinger was one of the key sponsors and had a dedicated lounge at AIFW. The chilled Witlinger wheat ale helped cool down the heat generated by all the glitz, glamor, models, designers and celebrities.

We managed to catch the Designer Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna collection on the night of 14th October. The show started an hour late but the wait was totally worth it. It was held on an understated open air ramp. The collection was western, subtle, contemporary and most of the dresses were wearable on Indian body types.
