Biryani Art is the new addition to Delhi NCR’s expanding list of Biryani places. Its’ a small restaurant that serves Hyderabad style Biryani along with a host of other dishes. Decor is simple and easy on eyes. Good for diners as this doesn’t distract while having Biryani. We were in a big group and we ordered several things from appetisers and drinks.
From appetisers, we loved Hyderabadi Chicken Lollipop. It was perfectly cooked and the tangy masala on top made it an appropriate snack to go with our Mojitos, Rose Lassi and Faluda RoohAfzah. We also had a bite of Chicken 65 and Paneer 65. These were good but a little too spicy for us.
For mains, we had Egg Dum Biryani and Keema Biryani. Since they serve Hyderabad style Biryani which is known for being very spicy, we were afraid the Biryanis would be terribly hot. But we were pleasantly surprised that their Biryanis were not just yummy but reasonably low on spices. Specially, Egg Dum Biryani was very mild on mirchi. We loved it. Keema Biryani also tasted great. These were served with small helping of Mirchi Ka Salan and raita.
We also had vegetable Dalcha (vegetables cooked in lentils) with naan. This was tasty and flavourful. It added the necessary veggies to our predominantly protein/carbs based lunch and made it wholesome.
For desserts we had Kubaani ka Meetha. This was apricots in flavoured sugar syrup. It tasted awesome with vanilla ice cream.
Shahi Tukda is their star attraction and we could make out, why. It looked great and tasted heavenly. Just what you need after spicy, savoury lunch.
Though their food is enough reason for us to come back, we were impressed with their staff. They served our group patiently and liked taking feedback about their food. It was a decent Sunday lunch and we can’t wait to visit this place again to try their other Biryanis.
In starters Bemisaal Mutton Seekh is a must try. Chicken Biryani was amazing. In sweet dish I love khubani ka meetha. Overall a nice place to visit on weekends. Nice crowd.
