Wok to Walk is now in CP Delhi
Wok to Walk is an international chain of restaurants serving Asian food. Originally from Netherlands, they have restaurants in Africa, Europe, America and Asia. Wok to Walk has opened their first two Indian outlets in Delhi and here is our first hand early bird report.
Lok Gatha Utsav at IGNCA
Lok Gatha Utsav was a display of the rich heritage of folk music, dance and art in India. IGNCA deftly fused the essentially folk culture festival with the modern. Star performers such as Mohit Chauhan, Hans Raj Hans and Manoj Tiwari also participated in the event.

DLF Mall of India is converted into a Winter wonderland for Christmas this December. Along with Hamleys they have organised a host of fun activities for kids this festival season.
Raveena Tandon inaugurates Smile International Film Festival for Children and Youth
Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon inaugurated Smile International Film Festival for Children and Youth at Sirifort Auditorium Delhi. The week long film festival will be held from 11th to 17th December and includes films, short films, story telling sessions, workshops, games and fun activities for children.
Delhi Food Truck Festival 2017
Posh localities already have food trucks parked regularly in the area. Others are however still opening up to it and the Delhi Food Truck Festival aimed at promoting the concept. We are up for any new experience – be it food or mode of dispensation. Hence we spent a Fun-Do evening at the 2nd edition of Delhi Food Truck Festival at Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium.
Winter Menu at Chaayos CP
This is rare. It was two firsts for us. A) Being “tea-totallers: we were keen to try the new Chaayos outlet at Connaught Place. B) Chaayos keeps tweaking their menu as per the season. The new winter menu was just launched and we were invited to try that.
Leela – An exhibition on Ramayana tradition
IGNCA at Janpath is holding an exhibition on religious and theatrical practices that have evolved out of Ramayan. They have tried to capture glimpses of Ram Leela that have transcended space and time. Aptly named “Leela”, the display looked great from outside. Consequently, although we were there to attend the festival “Lok Gatha”, we gravitated to the exhibition hall.
A Tryst with Thai Cuisine at Honk-Pullman Aerocity
We wanted a break from the heavy duty Indian food that we were eating all around us given the festival and the wedding season. And yet wasn’t upbeat about surviving on raws and boils in this lovely weather. In such circumstance, Honk at Pullman came up with a Thai food festival just in time.
Christmas events in Delhi – OZ haat charity mela
Australian High Commission’s annual pre Christmas fair, Oz Haat Charity Mela was held last Saturday, 2nd December 2017 at their office in Chanakyapuri. This is quite a hit or miss situation since it is a single day event. They hardly have any publicity either.

DLF Place Saket recently held a three evening long festival – The Nite Owl Festival 2.0. It was a flea market setting with shops and boutiques selling clothes, accessories and winter wear. But then, shopping was just one of the activities and the focus seemed to be a complete Fun-do experience.

Nayaab’s fifth exhibition was recently held at The Lodhi. The three day event saw a host of designers come together with their creations and woe the fashonistas. The designers who were bound by a shared sensibility, a common ethos.
Sunday Winter Brunch at K3, J W Marriott, Aerocity Delhi
K3, JW Mariott at Aerocity has ushered in the winter their way – with a Winter Brunch menu. Living up to the falling leaves – the chilly air – the lovely sunshine on a Sunday morning, we spent a leisurely afternoon at K3, JW Mariott, Aerocity over a brunch. It took us about two hours to only taste select sections of it.

Delhi – the city of ‘parathe wali gali’, the place of ‘chandani chowk ki chaat’ can make your mouth water with the North Indian cuisines and the flavours of Punjab. Changing times have brought the world closer and we definitely have the option to order food online in Delhi and elsewhere too.
Aadi Mahotsav
Tribes, an organisation under the aegis of Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, has brought together a host of artisans from tribal communities across the country at Dilli Haat, INA. The event is Aadi Mahotsav. The whole place looks colourful and festive like never before. We visited the event and here is a first hand report.
