Sir Sir Sarla – Play by Zee Theatre
Zee TV’s theatre wing Zee Theater was back with its second presentation “Sir Sir Sarla”, a play written and directed by Makrand Deshpande. The 2 hours 15 minutes play was a most off beat production that cannot be identified in the common classifications of theater that we ordinarily get to see in Delhi. We look forward to their next production in March 2017.
100 Pipers gets The Dire Straits Experience to ‘Play For A Cause’
100 Pipers brings the legendary British rock band Dire Straits to perform for the first time ever in India for their ‘Play for a cause’ initiative. A part of the proceeds from ticket sales will be used to support villagers in Rajasthan. Block the dates March 17 and 19 for Gurgaon and Bengaluru performances.
Tupperware Party to experience the Good Life
Tupperware recently organized a fun day for a handful of bloggers and media influencers and we were invited. The party was a peek into the Tupperware world and their Time Savers Range products. More than that, the party turned out to be a lot of fun.
Mohe Piya – Bharat Rang Mahotsav 2017
Mohe Piya, directed by Prof. Waman Kendre and performed by the group Rangpeeth from Mumbai, was based on Mahabharat during Bharat Rang Mahotsav by National School of Drama. The epics were the theme this year. Consequently we saw many such productions that involved some of the lesser known episodes from the epics.
Ardor 2.1 – Mughlai food experience at CP
Ardor 2.0 at Connaught Place is holding an ongoing Nawabi Food Festival. They serve a wide range of Mughlai starters, main course and desserts in this range. To round off the experience they have live ghazal performance in the restaurant.

12th MAHINDRA THEATRE FESTIVAL (META), the annual extravaganza of plays by Mahindra Group is about to start at various venue in New Delhi. META recognises the best in Indian theatre every year through their METAWARDS during this theatre festival.
Jom Jom Malay – Malaysian Restaurant in Delhi
Jom Jom Malay in Ansal Plaza is the first Malaysian food restaurant in Delhi NCR. It serves a host of authentic Malaysian dishes in a less sinful avtar. We recommend this place to all our foodie friends.
Aadha Chand – Bharat Rang Mahotsav 2017
National School of Drama Repertory Company staged their play Aadha Chand during Bharat Rang Mahotsav 2017. The plot deals with people who work in call centre/BPO sector and is a walk through their boulevard of broken dreams. The play had potential but long duration and a major Bollywood hangover got in the way.
Witlinger #NowRolling – Let the good times roll
Witlinger has brought some amazing beers to the Indian markets. They introduced craft beer in India and have now started a campaign under the “Now rolling” slogan. To create a buzz, they hosted a party at the restobar Lord of the Drinks at Connaught Place and we were invited.
Sunday Brunch with Nickelodeon’s Motu Patlu
Downtown Kitchen & Bar, Courtyard by Marriott is hosting a Sunday Brunch with cartoon characters from Nickelodeon. It is a limited offer till 12th March 2017. We were invited to review the event and had a nice time and heavy stomachs.
La La Land – In the land of Love Music and Oscars
La La Land has swept the BAFTA. There can’t be any question regarding it’s quality and we thoroughly enjoyed this romantic musical. For the story as well as the fact that we were watching a musical after quite a while.
Hunar Haat – confluence of handicrafts and food
The second “Hunar Haat” is being held from 11th to 26th February, 2017 at State Emporia Complex, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, Connaught Place. It is a confluence of traditional handicrafts and food from various parts of India. It is on till this weekend and is absolutely worth a visit.
Bharat Rang Mahotsav 2017 closes curtains
19th Bharat Rang Mahotsav, the annual theatre festival organized by National School of Drama dropped its curtains after a 21 days long histrionic extravaganza. We enjoyed watching a host of beautiful plays and performances in this period. Delhi-Fun-Dos was also invited to attend the closing ceremony and here is our report.

Teamonk Global – Zen approach to tea
Teamonk Global is a project where various tea varieties from the tea gardens of India are packed and supplied to customers. They recently organized a tea tasting session and we were invited to sample their ware. We are already converts!
