Blind School Diwali Mela is drawing visitors from all over NCR and beyond. The students of this institution create a host of products that light up our lives. Additionally, this year there is a unique installation that is not for sale. But for absorption. We are humbled by the experience.
Wah ji Wah – Review
Wah Ji Wah has been a mixed experience for us. They have several outlets across NCR and at times we have been disappointed. During a recent late night dinner pang, we had little choice but to walk in to Wah Ji Wah, one of the very few outlets open in the area. We are so glad we did.
INOX launched MUCHOS – Nachos, chips & pop corns
INOX has launched a range of Nachos, ready to eat pop corns and chips under the brand name MUCHOS. We recently tried their 9 flavors and are extremely pleased with the taste and quality. They have also introduced party packs that can be a unique Diwali gift.
Tarakeshwar and revisiting Lansdowne
North India is blessed with proximity to hills particularly Aravallis and Himalayas. The accessible parts of Himalayas are shared by Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Lansdowne is a quite hill station in Uttarakhand. Only a few hours away from NCR, Lansdowne has amazing surprises to offer.
Khaaja Chowk – Indian food cafe in Gurgaon
We have rarely experienced, predominantly non vegetarian restaurants serving some good vegetarian dishes. Khaaja Chowk makes an exception here. Along with their famous laal maas and fish tikkas, they are making some awesome vegetarian dishes too. Amazon India Fashion Week – Spring / Summer 2017
Amazon India Fashion Week organised by FDCI brought together several Indian fashion designers under one roof. They displayed their Spring / Summer 2017 collection on the open air ramp of NSIC exibition complex. We enjoyed the Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna collection sipping some chilled Witlinger beer.
Contemporary Arts Week 2016
The yearly celebration of the contemporary art forms come together at the Contemporary Arts Week organised by Friends of Art. This 8 days long arts festival covers music, theatre, paintings, puppetry, short films and other visual arts forms. It is on from 15th to 22nd October at various venues across Delhi. The inaugural days are at Nehru Park
Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav 2016
The Ministry of Culture is back with Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav showcasing India’s art, culture, food at the sprawling IGNCA. The grounds have been transformed into an Indian fairyland. The food zone has exotic items from various parts of India. All in all – this event can add another angle to your festival fervor this season.
Dubliin Square – good dining option in Rohini
Rohini in north west Delhi is full of self service fast food joints but there is a lacuna for good casual dining places.
