1st BRICS Film Festival
BRICS co-operation expands to various areas of socio economic activities of the member countries. As part of the BRICS movement, the 1st BRICS Film Festival is being held at Sirifort Auditorium. World cinemas from all the member countries are screened during multiple shows throughout the day. Alongside food from these countries, handicrafts are also on display.
38 Barracks – Restaurant review
Given the central location and the daily footfall, Connaught Place has been very sought after for the hospitality industry. However, of late, given the sprouting of restaurants, one on top of the others, this area is a food hub. We came visiting CP for work or hanging out. Recently we visited the restaurant 38 Barracks with f&b on our minds.
Bharatnatyam recital – students of Jayalakshmi Eshwar
Triveni Kala Sangam has an open stage with grass covered steps as the seating area. The simplicity of this arrangement was very enticing and we yearned to see a program here. During one of our recent visits to the Terrace Cafe we by chance came across a Bharatnatyam recital by the students of Jayalakshmi Eshwar . Our wish was fulfilled.
Pizza Express – Pizza Hall of Fame
Pizza allures all. And we never try to resist this temptation. Most impressed with the Hawaiin menu at Pizza Express, Vasant Kunj, when we came across another outlet at Ambience Mall, Gurgaon, we instinctively went in. And we are very happy about it.

Triveni Kala Sangam has served the cause of fine arts for years. During a recent visit we came across an exhibition by Pinaki Ranjan Bera. His works were simple and soothing to the eyes.
Chaayos – The new menu
Chaayos has introduced certain new items in their menu. While their ads, specially radio ads promote tea, more than their snacks, this is a place that people visit for food. We tried certain food items from both the menus. And of course their chai!

The next one half and a hours here were sheer heaven…
12 Angry Jurors – a theatre initiative by Aadyam
Aadyam, the theatre initiative of Aditya Birla Group has been presenting a series of plays. These plays mostly have a Mumbai based cast. Apart from upping the glamour quotient, the cast brings about seasoned and professionally mature productions for the Delhi audience. Their recent production “12 Angry Jurors” performed to a packed house at Kamani Audiorium.
Veda Djinggs – New place to indulge in Gurgaon
Sector 29, Gurgaon has another feather in its cap. Veda and Djinggs have collaborated on the theme of presenting Indian and Chinese cuisine under the same roof. We recently attended their pre launch and look forward to the formal opening.

Lolmaal – Standup comedy show in Delhi
Stand up comedy may be a thing from the west. But given its popularity with the audience it is here to stay. We have watched stand up acts in Delhi NCR and have rarely been disappointed. Buoyed with the confidence, we watched a recent stand up show Lolmaal organised by Laughter Nation at the Akshara Theatre.
Tipu Sultan – Review
Vasant Square Mall at Vasant Kunj is metamorphosing into a food hub. The ground floor is lined with restaurants and a Big Bazar! The restaurants here cater to a variety of tastes. In case one has cravings for Mughlai food on a certain day, there is Tipu Sultan.
