Some of us keep delving back into our childhood – our days of Billo, Archie, Chacha Chaudhury or Shikari Shambhu. Delhi Comic Con has brought this hidden desire back to us. It is a festival of comics – old and new – Indian and foreign. It’s a time travel to the past and a flight of fantasy to the future.
Times Literature Festival 2016
Jaipur Literature Festival has set a trend by creating glamorous events surrounding books. The Times Group has recently started organizing Literature Festivals in other parts of the country including the just concluded edition in Delhi. The two day event evoked a lot of interests among Delhites and others in NCR.

DLF Cyberhub is unapologetically a food-drinks hub. It is an oasis on NH8. The variety of food and drink options never ceases to impress us. However, from our experience we have seen that most bars / pubs ignore the food section, as if this is an afterthought. But we never lose hope and we recently visited Soi 7 at Cyberhub. Here is our take on this place.
Tulika – Symposium on art
Art Tree has been active in propagating the cause of art in Delhi NCR. We have attended their art event Colorama earlier this year. They recently organized panel discussions on art and its role in contemporary times. Various concepts related to art were discussed during the sessions.
Awadh Food Festival at Edesia – Crown plaza
Crowne Plaza at Okhla has a multi cuisine restaurant Edesia. We recently visited this restaurant to try out their Awadh food festival. The wide buffet had a selection of Awadhi dishes. Additionally there were continental, salads, dessert and sushi counters.
Phulkari in Delhi
The richness of traditional Indian handicrafts never ceases to amaze us. One such instance is Phulkari embroidery of Punjab. Women in the villages of this region are the practitioners of this craft. The happy designs of Phulkari are an expression of joie de vivre of life.
Get fired up at The Courtyard Grill
The Courtyard Grill is an outdoor dining arrangement at Courtyard Marriott, Gurgaon. It’s a new place and they have started operations earlier this month. The dip in temperature encouraged us to try the grilled fare that they had to offer.

We are often at a loss to locate a nice bakery. Greater Kailash has a variety of eating options and the bakery Bread & More in Market 1 looked cosy from outside. One Sunday afternoon, we wanted to have a lunch with a difference. Hence we visited Bread & More for a somewhat Continental lunch and coffee.
International Ethnic Folklore Festival
Delhi heat is inversely proportional to the cultural activities that are held in NCR. As the temperature starts dipping, a variety of events are held all over the region. A novel initiative, the International Ethnic Folklore Festival was recently held at Sirifort Auditorium. A variety of music and dance performances from various countries of the world were presented during the event.
Christmas cake mixing ceremony – Ho Ho Ho
Christmas is around the corner. The nip in the air is a clear indication. People are already gearing up for some solid partying. Moreover, we are receiving invitations for various Christmas related ceremonies. In response to one such invite, we recently attended a cake mixing ceremony at Park Plaza, Shahdara.
Hyatt Place Gurgaon – 2nd Anniversary Lunch
Hyatt Place Gurgaon celebrated their second anniversary at the Gallery Café. We attended the lunch buffet that was organized for the occasion. It was a brightly lit Sunday afternoon and the weather had festivity in the air. The event had live music, lavish spread and a birthday cake too. Overall, it was all that a birthday party needed.
