Taste is king… and taste is talking.

Burger King has opened its first outlet in India at Select City Walk – Saket. They were prebooking vouchers over eBay for a Whopper Burger and a Burger King t-shirt.

The long queue outside burger king looked like iphone 6 of burgers have been launched and everybody has to have it today only. But full marks to folks at Burger King who managed the crowd pretty well. They arranged water for people waiting in the queue and soft drinks for people whose order took longer than expected.

We ordered a Chicken Whopper, a Mutton Whopper and a Veg Whopper. The Veg Whopper came soon but the non veg burgers took time because of the huge demand on their launch day.

The burgers were worth the wait. First, true to their name they were big and one had to hold them with two hands. The patties in the burgers were moderately grilled so that they retained the juices. The tomato and lettuce in the burger were fresh and were mildly layered with mayonnaise. The burgers tasted great and yet did not bloat our stomach. The prices are reasonable and we are told that by December they are opening few more outlets in Delhi and Mumbai. Looks like they are blazing all guns for the Indian market – They have introduced items like Ilaichi Chai and Paneer Burger in their menu.

Just in case you want to enjoy this burger experience we would suggest, be a little patient for a week or so and visit after the initial rush. At its price, there is very little chance that you will be disappointed.
