Delhi is a city of diversions. There is no one single food palette that works for all. Cafe Delhi Heights resonates this Delhi food conversation. We have been to this restaurant once before and had an interesting experience (earlier blog). We had to visit this place again.

Last Sunday was a busy evening at this place. Nonetheless, we got a table. Although we again had two vouchers to redeem, this time, they seated us on a single table – perhaps because of influx of diners and space constraints. Good to see that their “rules” can be bent. Flexibility is after all a core philosophy in the hospitality industry.

Coming to food, we did not want to mix cuisines and stuck to continental. The Eggs Benedict, a bread with soft eggs preparation that came with potato wedges and lettuce salad is a complete dish. But the whole combination was very tasty and great for those evenings when you want something light.

The other two dishes that we ordered – Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Chilli Cheese Toasts worked together as another combo. The mashed potatoes were lumpfree and the garlic – spring onion seasoning brought the desired twist. We loved it.

The Pancakes with Fresh Fruits served with maple syrup and ice cream, and coffee, were our dessert. The pancakes were a little undercooked and they will have to do a little more work on this dish.

All in all – it was a light but wholesome Sunday dinner. A power meal setting us for the upcoming week. Cafe Delhi Heights has a long menu with motley dishes and this aptly reflects the diversity in Delhi taste buds. We like that. We also like the improvement in quality of hospitality that Cafe Delhi Heights has shown – commendable we say.
