Durga Puja, an essentially Bengali festival is celebrated every autumn. The celebrations have travelled outside Bengal and consequently Delhi NCR hosts more than a thousand Durga Pujas. Here is an account of our experience.

It’s an excellent option for upcoming Independence day long weekend. Not just for food an entertainment, we welcome the initiative as it’s a celebration and reminder about the advantages of living in a free state.
The four day Iranian film festival that the Directorate of film festivals, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting organized at Sirifort Auditorium celebrates the long history of cultural sharing between India and Iran. Iranian cinema has a documentary feel to it. Bereft of any effort to window dress or glamourise a plot, sets or casts, it is an authentic portrayal of the lives, dreams and aspirations of the average Iranian. We therefore find Iranian films most alluring.
Delhi is a hub for film festivals. The government as well as private organizations arrange these festivals. While most of these festivals have free entry, prior passes may have to be collected. The Jagran Film Festival (1-5 July, 2016) that is currently being held at Sirifort Auditorium is organised by Jagran Prakashan (House of Dainik Jagran Newspaper). To know how is it going, read on.
Agra has been immortalised by Shahjahan’s Taj Mahal – one of the Wonders of the World. But there is more to Agra than the Taj – the other mausoleums, street food, shopping and a visit to another Mughal site in the vicinity –Fatehpur Sikri. No wonder Agra features in the list for almost all tourists to Delhi. For a tourist, a convenient way to visit Agra from NCR is hire a taxi and one has a fantastic day trip in the offing.

Fun City, the global leisure and entertainment division of Landmark Group, has revamped and launched its all new Fun City at Ambience Mall, Gurgaon. Bollywood child acting sensation, Harshali Malhotra of Bajrangi Bhaijaan fame inaugurated the new look Fun City.
