Durga Puja is around the corner (19th – 22nd October, 2015) and parks / open spaces in NCR are dressing up for hosting the Goddess Durga and her children these five days. This festival in its present form is commonly a public celebration that involves craft, music, food, new clothes and the sound of dhak (the Bengali drum). People hop between various pandals to enjoy the festivities. Chittaranjan Park has the highest concentration of Pujas in NCR. The celebration supersedes the religious character and thus this festival is open to all.
