Amidst the jungles of Bir in Himachal, a certain Frank Schlichtmann has curated art that is not to hang on the wall or display in hotel lobby. It is to experience through eyes, ears and the other senses.Example – ‘poetree’ are trees in Bir forest that recite poetry or play music. Only if you want to listen.

Tirthan Anglers’ Retreat is a beautiful resort in Tirthan Valley tucked among the remote hills of Himachal Pradesh. The Retreat is on the bank of Phalachan River, a tributary of Tirthan River. In fact the river almost winds its way through this resort. It is already monsoon in the hills and we just spent a couple of amazing days here fishing for happiness. Quite literally so.
