Chili’s Grill and Bar has launched a new bar menu. We have been to Chili’s in Boston and loved the fuss free dining experience. Recently, we visited Chili’s Connaught Place outlet and in this sweltering weather, the new bar menu was great news.  To make the most of the visit, we tried a few cocktails and loved Bloody Mary and Sangria the most. On our request, they had not added any extra sweetener to Sangria. As a result, this fruit infused wine based turned out to be the best Sangria we have had in Delhi NCR. The Bloody Mary was also very moderately spiced just the way we like. So depending on your taste bud, these are our recommendations from their bar.

Coming to food, we loved the portion size. Every dish that we ordered was enough for the table. We loved the Cajun chicken wings and the steak. The steak was well cooked and came out easily on the knife. We also ordered fish and chips. The fish was crumbling, fries did not look exciting and we have had better.

What surprised us are the desserts. Desserts in Tex-Mex places are often ignored. We tried their star dessert Molten Chocolate Cake. This was quite up to our expectation. We also ordered Chocolate Chip Paradise Pie. Topped with vanilla ice cream, hot fudge and walnuts, this dessert blew our mind. This dish can compete with any top notch confectionery in town.

The décor here is happy and simple and service is prompt. The place can get crowded since we saw a steady footfall even on a week evening. Given the grand location, that is no surprise.  In fact, we are planning to visit Chili’s soon for another round of the Chocolate Chip Paradise Pie and maybe a glass of Sangria.

Sangria is my favorite cocktail and it is truly very hard to find a perfectly blended Sangria. I’ve had the best sangria in Pune.. it’s good to know about this place I’ll surely try it out once I visit Delhi next time.

We are definitely endorsing the desserts – more so because one of us is from Bengal.
