As we entered Zing, we noticed the modern but simple decor. The soft lighting and stylish yet cozy seating made the place feel inviting. The vibe was very retro – Delhi, a nostalgic feel about our youngster days when we would go out for fancy dinners with parents to celebrate special occasions. Zing seemed like such a spot to enjoy a happy dinner.

Starting with Drinks and Soups

We began our meal with some drinks from their bar menu. The cocktails were well-prepared and enjoyable, setting the mood for the evening.

Next came the soups. The Chicken Manchow was rich and full of flavours, while the Sweet Corn soup was light and comforting. Both were good choices to begin our meal.

Tasty Appetizers

For appetizers, we tried the Mozzarella Sticks and Chicken Lollipop. The Mozzarella Sticks had a nice cheese pull, and the Chicken Lollipop was crispy on the outside and juicy inside. They were flavourful and well-prepared.

The main course had a variety of options. We tried the Zing Quesadilla, which was filled with chicken and kidney beans and served with guacamole, salsa, and sour cream. It was a tasty and satisfying dish.

The creamy pasta was smooth and well-cooked, while the Polo Al Maroosh pizza was a favourite at our table. But the highlight of the meal was the Khao Suey. Served in a pot over a slow burner, it stayed warm, and we could customize it with different toppings. It was a photographer’s delight.

Exploring the Buffet

Zing also has a buffet with a variety of dishes. There were fresh salads, hummus with pita, tarts, cakes, and other desserts. Everything looked fresh and tasted good. The buffet is a good option for those who want to try different items in one meal.

Ending on a Sweet Note

For dessert, we tried the Tiramisu. It was soft, creamy, and had just the right amount of coffee flavor. We paired it with a hot cappuccino, which made for a pleasant ending to the meal.

A special mention to the pastry chef for the delectable little bits we picked from the buffet. The little cakes and cream buns were indeed soft, moist with the perfect sweetness. The dessert section is enough reason for returning to this buffet.
