Dubliin Square is one of the very few fancy dining options in Rohini. The restaurant is located in Mangalam paradise mall which is behind M2K cinema complex and a little off the main road. We went to Dubliin Square for lunch with a bunch of buddies. The restaurant is unbelievably huge for this locality. Lot of seating capacity with basic and simple decor. Service has a homely warmth to it.

We ordered beer for ourselves and a mix of veg and non veg starters to go with that. Paneer multani tikka was big chunks of paneer, coated with an off-white paste like multani (Fuller’s earth). This was delicious and spicy. Vegetable spring rolls were also fresh and well cooked. From non veg starters we liked chicken Harrisa better than chicken white sauce. But the starter that stole the show was Bhuttey Kebab. This was deep fried sweet corn kebab shaped as a corn cob. Highly recommended with drinks and mocktails.

From maincourse we tried a combination of Chinese and Indian stuff. Garlic fried rice went well with mushroom in hot garlic sauce. We would have liked the mushroom dish better if it had more mushrooms and if it was a little less watery. From Indian maincourse we loved Rampuri sabz biryani with Murg methi malai. Basic dishes but well cooked and high on taste.

Dubliin Square’s food is a tad high on spices, so a round of desserts was in order. We had Shahi tukda and Moong dal halwa to please our sweet tooth. This moong dal halwa was one of the best we had off late. This was cooked in less ghee and wasn’t half as greasy as this halwa is known to be. We had to take a second helping of this delicious dessert and it helped us reach the end of this soul satisfying lunch.
