Venue: Hauz Khas Village
Date: 04th Dec, 2015
Hauz Khas Village is a hub for small cafes and pubs and is frequented by people who are looking for party options. One of the little known pubs in this area is the ELF Cafe & Bar.
We visited this place last Friday. This place is pretty close to the entry point, still, for a weekend evening, it was rather empty.
We ordered a soup, interestingly called Double Mushroom Cappuccino, and a starter – Corn Flakes Crispy Chicken. The soup was a cream based broth with some mushrooms and pepper corn. It would have been delectable but for the overdose of salt. Also if you don’t like garlic, it’s not for you. The chicken dish was fried wings in barbeque sauce with few cornflakes coated on top. It wasn’t crispy but tasty all the same.
The floor area is spacious and they have an interesting wide balcony with tables. This location is perfect for this season. One can have a bird’s eye view of the busy HKV gully from here. However, the washroom would have seen better days and calls for immediate repair.
Overall, it was an OK experience and we suspect that the low turnout could be due to the lack of visibility among other more prominent glow boards on that building.
