SUMMARY:Staged Realities - A Solo Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Dhoomimal Gallery presents Staged Realities\, a solo exhibition by Nayanaa Kanodia\, opening April 11 at CCA\, Bikaner House. Curated by Archana Khare-Ghose\, the show marks the artist’s return to New Delhi after nearly two decades. \nA pioneer of Naïve Art in India\, Kanodia is known for her distinctive visual language that captures the many layers of Mumbai—from its bustling streets to the private worlds of its elite. Blending sensitivity with gentle humour\, her works reflect on class\, gender\, and the rhythms of urban life. \nNayanaa Kanodia says “My work has always come from observing the world around me\, especially a city like Mumbai which is always in flux. I’m drawn to small moments\, everyday situations\, and the many contradictions that exist within them. Over time\, these observations turn into detailed\, almost staged compositions where reality blends with imagination. This exhibition brings together works from different phases of my journey\, but what connects them is a continued curiosity about people\, their spaces\, and the subtle stories they carry.” \nBringing together a selection of recent and earlier works\, the exhibition offers a glimpse into her evolving practice and long-standing engagement with the city. \nBringing together a selection of recent and earlier works\, Staged Realities offers a comprehensive glimpse into Kanodia’s evolving practice. The exhibition reflects her long-standing engagement with Mumbai while also highlighting her unique ability to document social realities through a deeply personal and accessible visual language. \nExhibition Details\nDate – 12th – 20th April 2026\nTime – 11 am – 07pm\nVenue – CCA\, Ground Floor\, Bikaner House\, New Delhi

SUMMARY:Portraits in Time: Power\, Presence\, and Identity Across Centuries
DESCRIPTION:Portraits in Time: Power\, Presence\, and Identity Across Centuries\, a forthcoming exhibition curated by Sonali Batra\, opening at LTC\, Bikaner House\, New Delhi on 8th April 2026. \nBringing together fifty works spanning centuries and geographies\, the exhibition creates a cross-continental\, cross-century conversation on portraiture. Tracing the evolution of the human face as a site of expression\, power\, and memory\, Portraits in Time approaches portraiture not as a fixed genre but as an evolving inquiry into identity and visibility. \nInstalled chronologically\, the exhibition unfolds as a visual journey through time—from early European academic realism to modernist expression and contemporary reinterpretations of the human image. N. Souza\, Abalal Rahiman\, M. F. Pithawalla\, K. R. SUMMARY:Artspeaks India-Shruti Gupta Chandra Solo Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Where does the mind stop and the world begin\, a solo exhibition of recent paintings by Shruti Gupta Chandra\, opening on Tuesday\, 17 March 2026 at 5:00 PM at Sridharani Triveni Kala Sangam\, New Delhi. The exhibition\, with curatorial advisory support from Ashwini Pai Bahadur\, will remain on view until 24 March 2026. \nThis new body of abstract work marks a significant transition in Shruti’s practice—from earlier figurative explorations to a fully intuitive and immersive abstraction. Anchored by an essay from art historian Lina Vincent\, the exhibition reflects on the philosophical and spiritual dimensions of her process. Working across acrylic\, oil\, watercolour\, pastel\, collage\, and mixed media\, Shruti creates luminous compositions where gesture\, repetition\, and movement evoke cycles of becoming and dissolution. Her four-decade engagement with both visual art and Kathak dance informs a dynamic dialogue between rhythm and mark-making. \nWhere does the mind stop and the world begin offers viewers an encounter with an artist in transformative motion—mapping inner landscapes that feel at once intimate and expansive. \nExhibition Details\nTitle: Where does the mind stop and the world begin\nArtist: Shruti Gupta Chandra\nOpening: Tuesday\, 17 March 2026 | 5:00 PM\nOn View: 18 – 24 March 2026\nVenue: Sridharani Triveni Kala Sangam\, New Delhi\, 10:30 am – 7 pm\, Open Monday – Saturday

SUMMARY:A Voyage to Permanence - An immersive celebration of visual poetry
DESCRIPTION:Jooby Yohannan\, gallerist and art consultant\, is pleased to present A Voyage to Permanence\, an immersive\, multi-disciplinary exhibition built around three experimental films by noted filmmaker Purandar Chaudhuri. Curated by prominent art historian and critic Johny ML\, the exhibition opens on March 10\, 2026\, and runs till March 14\, at the Visual Arts Gallery\, India Habitat Centre\, New Delhi\, in the presence of distinguished members of the film and art fraternity. \n \nConceived as a 5-day-long cinematic and spatial experience\, A Voyage to Permanence brings together film screenings\, alternative photographic prints\, a live installation-performance\, and a book release\, creating a layered dialogue between moving image\, still image\, sound\, text\, and performance. At its core are Chaudhuri’s three films– Dhushor\, Tremors\, and Impressions of Mingling– works that traverse memory\, migration\, erasure\, and survival through a deeply contemplative visual language. \nThe exhibition reimagines the act of viewing cinema within a gallery context. The films are customised for immersive viewing\, supported by state-of-the-art audio-visual design\, allowing audiences to encounter them not as conventional narratives but as aesthetic meditations oscillating between abstraction and figuration. The works evoke the memories of analogue filmmaking while embracing digital possibilities\, forging a contemporary cinematic vocabulary. \nAccompanying the screenings are alternative photographic prints by Prakash Braggs\, extending the visual grammar of the films into tactile\, material forms. To supplement the exhibition\, there will be a panel discussion on the topic\, ‘Moving Focus of Film Making and Photography’ with panellists like Samar Jodha\, Aditya Arya and so on.  \nOn March 11\, a live installation-performance by Dr Bhoominathan\, actor\, director and tutor at the National School of Drama\, will respond to and reinterpret the cinematic universe of Chaudhuri’s works. The exhibition will also host a book release by Jayanth Kodkani and Nemiraj Shetty\, further expanding the intellectual and artistic discourse surrounding the project. \nIn his curatorial note\, Johny ML reflects: \n“Purandar’s films are not created to flag out the issues of migration or self-degeneration and regeneration caused by various forces. They are aesthetic contemplations using the medium of film\, where the memories of traditional analogue movie making are evoked along with their digital possibilities. Letting this cinematic language oscillate between abstraction and figuration\, Purandar attempts to give a new dimension to contemporary visual aesthetics using film as a medium.” \nChaudhuri describes his practice as an attempt to reimagine the grammar of cinema:\n\n “I make films that break the conventional rules of movie-making. My films are like memory catchers. They are there\, but you need a different sensibility to see and feel the memories. Each of my films is a tribute to the human exodus and survival. I look at the alchemy of turning the human body into labour; the very cruel alchemy.” \nA Voyage to Permanence ultimately stands as a tribute to humanity and its trials\, eschewing slogans and spectacle in favour of quiet intensity and visual lyricism. The exhibition invites audiences into a liminal space where moving images become meditations\, and where each encounter is both deeply personal and universally resonant. \nAbout Purandar and his films: \nPurandar believes in strong visual aesthetics in his filmmaking. He blends still photographs with moving images\, creating signature monochrome visuals that are imposing\, add depth\, and bring a unique sensibility to his films. Sparse dialogues\, natural sound\, and music create a hypnotic mood\, engaging the audience deeply with his works. He believes his films should allow viewers time and space to reflect on life\, an approach similar to poetry\, music\, and art. \nHis films explore thoughts and contemplation at physical and metaphysical levels\, taking viewers on a journey as he stays rooted in his exploration. Purandar sees filmmaking as a powerful medium of artistic expression that needs constant experimentation\, inspired by filmmakers who pushed boundaries and explored new grounds. \nThough his films are recent\, Purandar feels his journey as a filmmaker began years ago\, as a boy watching films by Ray\, Ghatak\, Sen\, Chaplin\, and others in Calcutta’s streets and cinemas. \nFact Sheet \nTitle: A Voyage to Permanance  \nVenue: Visual Arts Gallery\, India Habitat Centre  \nDates: 11 – 14 March\nCurator: Johny ML \nTiming: 10 am – 8 pm26

SUMMARY:Constructed Stillness - a Two-Person Art Exhibition in Delhi
DESCRIPTION:Artisera presents ‘Constructed Stillness’ —a two-person exhibition featuring Bangalore based artists Ashu Gupta and Sangeeta Abhay \nConstructed Stillness\, a two-artists exhibition featuring Bangalore-based artists Ashu Gupta and Sangeeta Abhay\, on view from 27 February to 2 March 2026 at LTC\, Bikaner House\, New Delhi. \nArtwork-Sangeeta-Abhay-Utpatti-Cosmic \nPresented by Artisera\, Constructed Stillness brings together two Bangalore artists whose materially and visually distinct practices are united by a shared inquiry into how stillness is constructed\, patiently\, deliberately\, and over time. In a world marked by speed and constant disruption\, the exhibition proposes another rhythm: one in which calm is not assumed\, but made. \nAshu Gupta builds intricate worlds through pen and ink and paper piercing\, where repetition becomes rhythm and each mark is a unit of time. Her densely layered compositions invite sustained viewing\, reflecting themes of memory\, nature\, childhood\, and fleeting human experience. \nSangeeta Abhay approaches stillness through oil\, gold leaf\, resin\, metal\, and found materials\, constructing forms that balance complexity with clarity. Engaging deeply with the idea of Utpatti (origin)\, her works capture the moment where form has emerged and settled into presence. A landmark sculpture constructed using 108 discarded keyboards reassembles tools of instant communication into a contemplative state of calm and continuity. \nThis marks the first time both Ashu Gupta and Sangeeta Abhay are exhibiting in Delhi. \nExhibition Details:\nTitle: Constructed Stillness\nArtists: Ashu Gupta and Sangeeta Abhay\nDates: 27 February – 2 March 2026\nVenue: LTC\, Bikaner House\, New Delhi

SUMMARY:Abr Kyā Chīz Hai / What Really is a Cloud? - Art Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Akar Prakar Presents Abr Kyā Chīz Hai / What Really is a Cloud? – Recent Works by Debasish Mukherjee\nCuratorial Advisor: Ranjit Hoskote \nAbout the Exhibition\n\nAbr Kyā Chīz Hai/ What Really is a Cloud? takes its title from Mirza Ghalib’s evocative verse\, echoing enduring questions about place\, time\, and the unseen forces that shape human experience. Rather than offering answers\, the exhibition sustains a lingering inquiry into memory\, perception\, and the fragile architectures of belonging. \nOver the years\, memory\, space\, and displacement have remained central to Mukherjee’s artistic practice. Much of his work draws from the city of Benares and its people\, particularly members of his mother’s family who lived there for generations. Benares\, with its dense layering of ritual\, belief\, and continuity\, shaped his early consciousness. Along with Chapra\, where he spent his childhood\, it formed the emotional and cultural bedrock of his thinking. \nThe artist often divides his life into two chapters. The first encompasses his childhood and formative years in Chapra and Benares. The second began in 1994\, when he moved to Delhi. This latter chapter now spanning over three decades constitutes the larger part of his life and is marked by deep personal and professional transformation. \n \nThe current body of work emerged from a deeply personal realization. In recent years\, Mukherjee noticed a growing difficulty in recalling the names and faces of people he met\, even those encountered recently\, while older memories remained vivid and sharply detailed. This imbalance between remembering and forgetting became the catalyst for the work\, creating an urgency to document\, recall\, and gather fragments of a life that might otherwise slowly erode. As part of this process\, Mukherjee began with writing & recording events from the past thirty years in various formats\, noting people\, conversations\, encounters\, and moments that shaped his thinking. Gradually\, patterns surfaced\, revealing how these interactions had enriched his journey and quietly informed his choices. The act of remembering and recording became both method and material. \nWhile reflecting on objects that could symbolise his early years in Delhi and continue to remain relevant today\, the telephone emerged as a recurring element. Mukherjee encountered it meaningfully only after moving to the city. Over the years\, it carried innumerable conversations across fragile lines of connection. Before the era of smartphones and digital archives\, conversations disappeared the moment a call ended\, leaving behind only memory. Friendships were formed\, collaborations initiated\, relationships sustained\, and sometimes lost through this medium. The telephone thus became more than an object\, it became a witness\, a keeper of voices\, and a delicate archive of fleeting human bonds. \nDelhi itself functions as a powerful anchor within this body of work. With a population exceeding twenty million and a history spanning over a thousand years\, the city exists as a palimpsest of time. Its layered histories\, cultural depth\, and contradictions offered the artist not just a place to work\, but a vast reservoir of memory. The writings of Mirza Ghalib resonated differently once Mukherjee began living in Delhi\, particularly through visits to Ghalib’s haveli\, where history felt intimately present. \nPolitics in Delhi is unavoidable and omnipresent. As the seat of power\, the city attracts political ambition from across the country. From student politics and university elections to demonstrations and parliamentary debates\, political activity is loud\, visible\, and performative. One of the works in this exhibition responds directly to this charged atmosphere. \nEnvironmental concerns form another critical layer. Delhi is consistently ranked among the most polluted cities in the world. While sustainability has become a widely circulated term\, it often functions as a token gesture rather than a deeply integrated practice. A short four-minute film within the exhibition reflects on this contradiction\, questioning the gap between rhetoric and action. \nMukherjee’s professional journey is also closely tied to Delhi. Beginning his career in a fashion house soon after moving to the city\, he witnessed the Indian fashion industry evolve over three decades. The work Sunadari is an abstract mapping of this transformation\, examining the relationship between fashion\, aspiration\, visibility\, and media. \nThis exhibition functions as a visual and conceptual journal of the artist’s journey emerging from the fear of forgetting but anchored in the joy of remembering. It reflects on his years in Delhi\, the weight of its history\, its contradictions\, and the many people who offered support\, inspiration\, and resilience along the way. Ultimately\, it is about memory in all its fragility and endurance\, about what it means to hold on\, to let go\, and to belong. \nTitle: Abr Kyā Chīz Hai? / What Really is a Cloud?\nArtist: Debasish Mukherjee\nExhibition Dates: 4th February – 6th March 2026\nVenue: Akar Prakar\, New Delhi

SUMMARY:Aranyani Pavilion 2026
DESCRIPTION:Aranyani Pavilion 2026 is a landmark ecological art and architectural project opening at Sunder Nursery\, New Delhi\, in February 2026. Presented by Aranyani\, a conservation and creative arts initiative founded by conservation scientist and creative director Tara Lal\, the pavilion invites the public to reconnect with nature through art\, architecture\, and ecology. \nTitled Sacred Nature\, the pavilion is conceptualised by Tara Lal and designed in collaboration with T_M.Space\, led by architects Tanil Raif and Mario Serrano Puche. The structure is imagined as a spiral walk-through installation\, inspired by India’s sacred groves and Vedic ecological principles. Visitors move through a continuous journey of light\, shadow\, sound\, and texture\, culminating in a central shrine anchored by a stone monolith. \nThe pavilion is constructed using upcycled Lantana camara wood\, an invasive species\, and supports a living canopy of more than 40 native plant species. By integrating sustainable materials and living elements\, the project places ecological restoration at the core of its design and purpose. \nAlongside the architectural installation\, the Aranyani Pavilion features a public programme of talks\, performances\, and guided tours\, encouraging dialogue on environmental awareness\, cultural traditions\, and sustainable futures. Sound design for the pavilion is created by Gaurav Raina and Komorebi\, enhancing the immersive experience. \nAfter its presentation at Sunder Nursery\, the pavilion will continue its life as a permanent installation at the Rajkumari Ratnavati Girls’ School\, where it will function as a learning space for students and researchers. The pavilion’s plant canopy will be relocated to urban gardening initiatives in New Delhi\, extending its ecological impact beyond the exhibition period. \nEvent Details:Opening Dates: Wednesday\, 4 February – Friday\, 13 February 2026Time: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PMVenue: Sunder Nursery\, New Delhi

SUMMARY:Evolution / Involution: A Contemporary Abstraction Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Evolution / Involution is a group exhibition presented by Bhavna Kakar and curated by Khushboo Jain\, opening at LATITUDE 28\, New Delhi. Bringing together a distinguished roster of modern masters and contemporary international artists\, the exhibition explores abstraction as a philosophical and experiential practice rooted in both ancient symbolism and contemporary thought. \nThe exhibition is conceptually anchored in the Bindu—a primordial point that serves as a generative source and organising principle. Revisiting a significant post-1960s artistic movement\, the participating artists reinterpret ancient symbolic forms through modernist abstraction\, employing geometric vocabularies such as circles\, triangles\, grids\, and meditative colour fields. These visual structures function as pathways toward inwardness\, energy\, and consciousness\, dissolving binaries between the spiritual and the material. \nEvolution / Involution seeks to decolonise readings of South Asian visual traditions\, moving beyond ritualistic or orientalist frameworks to reclaim them as living\, intuitive\, and contemporary epistemologies. While deeply informed by South Asian visual heritage\, the exhibition foregrounds transnational dialogues\, bringing together artists who engage with esoteric forms\, energetic mappings\, and metaphysical inquiry through distinctly contemporary practices. \nAnchored by historical figures such as Sohan Qadri and Prabhakar Barwe\, and extended through present-day global voices including Alexander Gorlizki\, Claudia Wieser\, Olivia Fraser\, Shobha Broota\, and others\, the exhibition traces how a single point of origin—the Bindu—can unfold into expansive ways of seeing\, thinking\, and being. Abstraction here emerges not only as a visual language but as an embodied and philosophical inquiry. \nParticipating Artists\nSohan Qadri\, Prabhakar Barwe\, Alexander Gorlizki\, Ayushi Patni\, Balan Nambiar\, Claudia Wieser\, Desmond Lazaro\, Elisabeth Deane\, Genevieve Chua\, Jethro Buck\, Karen Köhler\, Mahirwan Mamtani\, Nicole Frobush\, Olivia Fraser\, Shane Drinkwater\, Shobha Broota\, Tanya Johnson \nExhibition Details\nPresented by: Bhavna KakarCurated by: Khushboo Jain \nVenue: LATITUDE 28\, B-74\, Ground Floor\, Block B\, Defence Colony\, New Delhi – 110024Exhibition On View: 3 February – 15 March 2026Gallery Timings: Monday to Sunday\, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM

SUMMARY:No One Can Silence Me - A Solo Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:No One Can Silence Me is a powerful solo exhibition by renowned Belgian artist Saskia Pintelon\, featuring 27 compelling portrait paintings that explore the language of human expression\, ageing\, and emotional presence. The Sri Lankan‑based artist presents faces that are direct\, honest\, and unfiltered—showing vulnerability\, humour\, and quiet strength through subtle gestures like a raised eyebrow\, a knowing gaze\, or a closed mouth. \nHandwritten words appear as annotations on the portraits\, interrupting thoughts and revealing unspoken inner states. These works are not about perfect likenesses but about the face as testimony—a resilient record of identity and emotion that refuses to be muted or erased. \nEvent details:\nDate: Sunday\, 1 February – Saturday\, 28 February 2026\nTime: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Monday to Saturday)\nVenue: Gallery Pristine Contemporary\, A‑178\, C3 Ground Floor\, Saini Bhavan\, Kotla Mubarakpur\, Bhishma Pitamah Marg\, New Delhi – 110003

SUMMARY:Gujral Within 2026: Satish Gujral Centenary Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Gujral Within: An Introspection is a special centenary exhibition honouring the life and artistic legacy of modern Indian master Satish Gujral (1925–2025). Presented by RGAL | Raseel Gujral Art Legacy in collaboration with Dhoomimal Art Centre\, the exhibition will be held at Bikaner House\, New Delhi. \nConceived not as a conventional retrospective\, Gujral Within offers an inward and reflective journey into the artist’s practice. The exhibition brings together a carefully curated selection of paintings\, drawings\, and sculptures drawn entirely from the private collection of Raseel Gujral\, many of which are being displayed publicly for the first time. \nThe exhibition focuses largely on the final decade of Satish Gujral’s artistic practice\, a period marked by restraint\, clarity\, and distilled form. Rather than scale or spectacle\, the presentation emphasises intimacy and proximity\, allowing viewers to engage deeply with Gujral’s visual language and philosophical approach. \nA key highlight of the exhibition is the first acquisition-led presentation under RGAL\, inviting collectors\, art patrons\, and design enthusiasts to connect personally with Gujral’s work. The exhibition also marks the release of a centenary limited-edition print series\, featuring five previously uneditioned works from the private collection. Each print is individually numbered\, authenticated\, and produced on museum-grade archival paper using archival pigment processes. \nGujral Within stands as a quiet yet powerful tribute to one of India’s most influential modern artists\, offering a rare and contemplative experience of his enduring legacy. \nEvent Details:Exhibition Dates: 1 February – 12 February 2026Time: 10:00 am – 6:00 pmVenue: Bikaner House\, New DelhiPresented By: RGAL | Raseel Gujral Art LegacyIn Collaboration With: Dhoomimal Art Centre

SUMMARY:Sculpting Space: An Art Furniture Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Sculpting Space\, an exclusive art furniture exhibition by The Lookbook Co.\, will be unveiled in New Delhi this January\, presenting a refined dialogue between sculptural art and functional design. Hosted in the creative enclave of Village Ghitorni\, the exhibition introduces a luxury furniture collection conceived as autonomous art objects rather than conventional interior pieces. \nCurated as an intimate showcase\, the exhibition explores furniture as sculptural composition\, where form\, proportion\, and material presence take precedence over ornamentation. Drawing inspiration from art\, architecture\, and material experimentation\, The Lookbook Co. redefines contemporary luxury through restraint\, permanence\, and conceptual clarity. \nEach piece in the collection is meticulously handcrafted using natural materials and artisanal techniques\, with creation timelines spanning over a month—or more—for individual works. These pieces are not designed merely to occupy space but to command it\, inviting contemplation\, emotional engagement\, and interaction. \nSpeaking ahead of the exhibition\, Aparna Patodia\, Founder of The Lookbook Co.\, emphasised that the collection began not with furniture\, but with form\, emotion\, and material truth—positioning authorship and intent as the new markers of luxury. \nConceived specifically for architects and interior designers\, the exhibition addresses spaces as cultural and emotional experiences. Presented in collaboration with Ochre Art\, Nehaa Wadhwaa\, and Samridhi Agarwal\, the showcase reflects an international Art Nouveau influence\, where contemporary art and sculptural furniture exist in thoughtful conversation. \nEvent Details\nDate: 31 January 2026Time: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PMVenue: Silver Oak Road No. 3\, Plot No. B\, Ground Floor\, Kh No. 236\, Village Ghitorni\, New DelhiCity: New DelhiAudience: Architects\, interior designers\, collectors\, and design enthusiastsPresented by: The Lookbook Co.Collaborators: Ochre Art\, Nehaa Wadhwaa\, Samridhi Agarwal

SUMMARY:Sut te Saah: Stories Woven - Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:ਸੂਤ ਤੇ ਸਾਹ (Sut te Saah): Stories Woven in Phulkari is a landmark textile exhibition that brings together over 40 rare pre‑Partition Phulkaris and Baghs from Punjab. Presented by Bhavna Kakar and curated by Shreya Sharma\, the show draws from the collections of Amit Hansraj and Brig. Surinder & Shyama Kakar\, marking one of the first major presentations of these historic textiles in a private gallery in India. \nThe exhibition traces the arc of human experience – birth\, love\, community\, ritual\, and remembrance – through the many forms of Phulkari and Bagh. Structured across three interconnected sections\, it moves from Sankraman (Transition)\, which reflects moments of passage such as birth and marriage\, to Vishvaas ate Katha (Belief and Narrative)\, where faith\, folklore\, and oral histories are stitched into cloth\, and finally to Rihaish (Dwelling and Everyday Life)\, centring the domestic spaces where Phulkari shaped women’s everyday worlds across generations. \nFeaturing works from the Majha\, Doaba\, and Malwa regions\, Sut te Saah brings together Chope\, Vari‑da‑Bagh\, Sainchi\, Baghs\, and Thirma Phulkari. The exhibition positions these textiles as living archives – records of women’s lives\, labour\, belief\, and memory – carried forward through thread. \nEvent details:\nDate: 27 December 2025 to 26 January 2025\nTime: Monday to Sunday\, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM\nVenue: LATITUDE 28\, B‑74\, Ground Floor\, Block B\, Defence Colony\, New Delhi – 110024

SUMMARY:Of Land\, River\, and Body (Mati\, Nodi\, Deho) - Solo Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Vadehra Art Gallery presents Of Land\, River\, and Body (Mati\, Nodi\, Deho)\, a solo exhibition by acclaimed Bangladeshi artist Ashfika Rahman\, marking her first-ever solo exhibition in India. Winner of the Future Generation Art Prize 2024\, Rahman brings an immersive and research-driven body of work that reflects on land\, memory\, and the lived realities of marginalised communities in South Asia. \nThe exhibition draws from three of the artist’s ongoing series—Than Para\, Files of the Disappeared\, and Behula These Days—and includes large-scale installations\, photography\, and interactive audio-visual works. Moving between art and documentary\, Rahman works across photography\, textiles\, sound\, video\, text\, and installation to examine themes of indigenous violence\, land dispossession\, enforced disappearances\, climate-linked gendered violence\, and fear-driven political systems. \nGrounded in extensive archival research and long-term engagement with communities in Bangladesh\, Rahman’s practice draws from oral histories\, mythological references\, and folk traditions. Many of the works function as rare or singular testimonies for communities facing erasure\, foregrounding urgent questions around human rights\, state authority\, collective memory\, and survival. While rooted in specific local contexts\, the exhibition connects these realities to wider global political structures. \nArtist: Ashfika RahmanDates: 17 December 2025 – 24 January 2026Venue: Vadehra Art Gallery\, D-53\, Defence Colony\, New DelhiGallery Timings: Monday to Saturday\, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
