This August\, its historic spaces will become a meeting point for contemporary art\, with six leading Delhi galleries coming together for exhibitions\, curated walkthroughs and conversations celebrating the city’s vibrant art ecosystem. \nHighlights of the event across Bikaner House:\nCCA – Presentations by all six participating galleries\, each bringing together distinct contemporary practices and perspectives across mediums and generations.\nLTC – Bye-Bye Monsoon\, a curatorial exhibition by Adwait Singh\, considers extreme weather\, shifting monsoonal patterns and the historical\, material and environmental forces behind a changing climate.\nMain Building – This Animate Earth\, curated by Annalisa Mansukhani\, considers the botanical world as a site of memory\, knowledge\, care and interdependence\, tracing its connections to land\, caste\, empire and extraction. \nThe gallery presentations include Blueprint12’s Ways of Being Seen\, exploring the human figure through identity\, memory\, intimacy and belonging; Exhibit320’s presentation\, bringing together emerging and established artists around material\, memory and lived experience; Gallery Espace’s Presenting Abundance\, rooted in miniature traditions while extending into abstraction; Latitude 28’s MERIDIAN\, bringing fourteen distinct practices into relation; Shrine Empire’s South Asia-focused presentation\, rooted in research\, process and material enquiry; and Vadehra Art Gallery’s A Geography of Tender Things\, approaching place as a situated experience shaped by social\, cultural\, emotional and geographical conditions.\nAlongside the gallery presentations\, the programme will include walkthroughs\, conversations and other engagements across Bikaner House\, offering audiences different ways to encounter the artists\, exhibitions and ideas brought together for this edition. \n📅 31 August – 5 September 2026\n📍 Bikaner House\, New Delhi \nLocation Map:

DESCRIPTION:The Grammar of the Self is a major retrospective of acclaimed artist and printmaker Kanchan Chander\, curated by Kishore Singh and presented by Gallery Ragini. The exhibition brings together drawings\, prints and selected mixed-media works spanning more than five decades of Chander’s practice. At its heart is drawing\, the medium that has remained central to her artistic language and her exploration of observation\, memory\, identity and the human experience. \nThe exhibition traces the evolution of her practice through early portraits\, self-portraits and figurative studies\, celebrated prints and recent abstract works.
