DESCRIPTION:Blind Relief Association Diwali Bazaar 2026: Delhi’s Popular Festive Shopping Mela\nDiwali shopping in Delhi is not complete for many regular visitors without a trip to the Blind Relief Association’s Diwali Bazaar\, popularly known as the Blind School Diwali Mela. Organised by the Blind Relief Association\, Delhi\, this long-running festive market brings together shopping\, food and a cause worth supporting. \n \nWhat to Expect at the Diwali Bazaar\nThe bazaar brings together stalls from across India\, making it a place to shop for festive gifts\, clothes\, accessories and home décor. The 2025 edition featured more than 260 stalls\, and visitors could browse a wide variety of products\, including: \n\nHandcrafted and designer clothing\nFootwear\, jewellery and handbags\nHome décor\, festive decorations and gifts\nCosmetics\, toys\, gardening supplies and herbal products\nPackaged gourmet foods and festive treats\n\nShop for Products Made by Visually Impaired Trainees\n \nOne of the highlights is the Blind Relief Association’s own collection of handmade products. These include candles and diyas\, handmade paper bags\, envelopes\, gift tags\, folders\, papier-mâché items and fabric accessories. The products are made by visually impaired trainees and staff as part of their vocational training. The Association also uses recycled Braille paper and cloth for packaging\, helping reduce plastic use. \nMore Than Just Shopping\n \nThe bazaar has also featured initiatives run by the Association’s trainees. These include Café Mast\, where trainees prepare and serve food and beverages\, and relaxation massage services offered by trained visually impaired masseurs. Special activities and demonstrations may vary from year to year. You can also look out for stalls run by NGOs supporting artisans\, marginalised communities and persons with disabilities. \nA Diwali Bazaar with a Purpose\n \nThe Blind Relief Association’s Diwali Bazaar began in 1980 as a small display of handmade candles and diyas. It has since grown into one of Delhi’s familiar festive shopping destinations. Beyond the shopping\, the bazaar raises funds for the Association’s work in education and vocational training for persons with visual impairment.
