SUMMARY:Inward - An Art Exhibition by Harpreet Narula
DESCRIPTION:Renowned couturier Harpreet Narula makes his solo debut as a contemporary artist with Inward\, an exhibition that marks a new chapter in his creative journey. Curated by Vikram Singh\, the exhibition showcases a striking body of abstract paintings that draw upon Narula’s decades-long engagement with textiles\, craftsmanship\, and design. \nRather than moving away from his fashion practice\, Inward reveals how the visual language of fabrics\, weaving\, vernacular architecture\, and cultural memory has quietly informed his artistic expression over the years. Inspired by the frescoes of Shekhawati\, the painted havelis of Rajasthan and Punjab\, and the rhythmic structure of the loom\, the works are built through thousands of meticulously repeated marks. \nThe exhibition explores repetition as a meditative process\, transforming memory\, material\, and place into layered abstract compositions. It offers visitors an opportunity to experience Harpreet Narula’s artistic vision beyond the world of couture\, while reflecting on the enduring relationship between textile traditions and contemporary art. \nEvent Details \nExhibition: Inward\nArtist: Harpreet Narula\nCurator: Vikram Singh\nDates: 3–21 August 2026\nTimings: Monday–Friday: 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM | Saturday: 10:30 AM – 4:30 PM\nVenue: Art Explore\, E-55\, Lower Ground\, Panchsheel Park\, New Delhi\nEntry: Open to Visitors \nLocation Map:

SUMMARY:ऊंबरा: At An Ancestral Threshold - A Solo Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Gallerie Nvya Presents ‘ऊंबरा: at an ancestral threshold’ by Rohit Suresh Varekar\nGallerie Nvya will present ऊंबरा: at an ancestral threshold\, a solo exhibition by emerging contemporary artist Rohit Suresh Varekar\, whose practice explores the intersections of memory\, migration\, ecology\, and cultural heritage through materials deeply rooted in place and history. \nInspired by the devastating floods that transformed parts of Maharashtra’s Konkan region in 2021\, the exhibition draws upon reclaimed architectural fragments salvaged from collapsed mud homes. Through sculpture\, carving\, drawing\, and assemblage\, Varekar reimagines doors\, beams\, pillars\, and other remnants of vernacular architecture as vessels of personal and collective memory\, asking what remains when landscapes change and communities move away. \nAt the heart of the exhibition is a large-scale immersive installation featuring salvaged double-panel doors inscribed with ecological warnings inspired by renowned environmentalist Madhav Gadgil. Through weathered timber\, wax-infused drawings\, and intricate hand-carved imagery\, the artist transforms architectural debris into evocative reflections on environmental change\, climate vulnerability\, urban migration\, and the gradual disappearance of traditional ways of life. \nRather than treating these reclaimed materials as relics of the past\, ऊंबरा: at an ancestral threshold positions them as active storytellers\, carrying traces of habitation\, memory\, resilience\, and cultural continuity. The exhibition invites viewers to reflect on the relationship between people and place\, and the fragile connections that bind architecture\, ecology\, and identity. \nEvent Details \nExhibition: ऊंबरा: at an ancestral threshold\nArtist: Rohit Suresh Varekar\nDates: 11 July – 31 August 2026\nVenue: Gallerie Nvya\, 101–103 Square One Mall\, C-2\, Saket District Centre\, New Delhi\nTimings: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM\nEntry: Open to Visitors \nLocation Map:

SUMMARY:Overland\, There's Shorter Time to Dream-A Group Exhibition on Migration and Belonging
DESCRIPTION:LATITUDE 28 Presents ‘Overland\, There’s Shorter Time to Dream’ – A Group Exhibition on Migration and Belonging \nLATITUDE 28 will present Overland\, There’s Shorter Time to Dream\, a thought-provoking group exhibition curated by Shristi Sainani that brings together the works of sixteen contemporary artists from diverse cultural and geographical backgrounds. Through a wide range of artistic practices\, the exhibition explores migration not simply as physical movement\, but as an ongoing journey shaped by memory\, identity\, language\, displacement\, and belonging. \nFeaturing painting\, drawing\, sculpture\, installation\, textiles\, and multidisciplinary works\, the exhibition reflects on the emotional and cultural experiences that accompany movement across borders. The participating artists examine personal and collective histories while considering themes such as exile\, resettlement\, cultural translation\, inheritance\, and the evolving idea of home. \nRather than offering a single narrative\, Overland\, There’s Shorter Time to Dream presents multiple perspectives on migration\, inviting visitors to reflect on what people carry with them\, what they leave behind\, and how memories continue to shape identity long after journeys end. The exhibition creates a space for dialogue around movement\, resilience\, and the shared human experience of searching for belonging. \nBringing together artists from different regions and disciplines\, the exhibition promises a rich and engaging exploration of one of the defining themes of our time through the language of contemporary art. \nEvent Details \nExhibition: Overland\, There’s Shorter Time to Dream\nCurator: Shristi Sainani \nArtists: Khadim Ali\, Kavitha Balasingham\, Juhikadevi Bhanjdeo\, Rhimon Bose\, Samia Dzaïr\, Sudipta Das\, Kanchana Gupta\, Janhavi Khemka\, Jyothidas K.V.\, Gaurang Naik\, Devu Nenmara\, Mihika Poddar\, Rupaneethan Pakkiyarajah\, Malavika Rajanarayan\, Firi Rehman & Sajeev Visweswaran \nDates: 8 July – 25 July 2026\nVenue: LATITUDE 28\, B-74\, Ground Floor\, Block B\, Defence Colony\, New Delhi – 110024\nTimings: Monday to Sunday | 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM\nEntry: Open to Visitors \nLocation Map:

SUMMARY:Indigenous Accents - a solo exhibition by Raj Kishore Gupta
DESCRIPTION:Bikaner House will present Indigenous Accents\, a solo exhibition by Chandigarh-based artist Raj Kishore Gupta\, bringing together a significant body of work that reflects his long-standing engagement with indigenous visual traditions from across the world. Curated by Uma Nair\, the exhibition also marks the inaugural presentation of the Raj Kishore Gupta Foundation\, established by Aashita Gupta. \nCreated during the Covid pandemic\, the exhibition explores the artistic and cultural connections between indigenous traditions from India\, Africa\, and Australia. Drawing inspiration from practices such as Warli\, Gond\, Phulkari\, Pahadi\, African\, and Australian Aboriginal art\, Gupta’s works examine themes of land\, memory\, storytelling\, community\, and cultural continuity that transcend geographical boundaries. \nA distinctive aspect of Gupta’s practice is his relationship with material. Working across resin\, live-edge wood\, tree trunks\, wooden beams\, and unconventional surfaces\, he treats wood not merely as a canvas but as an active collaborator. The natural grain\, contours\, knots\, cracks\, and textures of the material become integral to the final artwork\, creating works that exist between painting\, sculpture\, and object-making. \nThe exhibition also reflects on concerns that have shaped Gupta’s artistic journey for more than four decades. From his early training in printmaking in Chandigarh to his continued experimentation with texture\, pattern\, and materiality\, the works reveal an artist deeply engaged with process\, craftsmanship\, and cultural memory. \nAdding another dimension to the exhibition\, visitors will also be able to view a series of portraits of the artist by acclaimed photographer Avani Rai\, offering an intimate glimpse into the life and practice behind the artworks. \nExhibition Details \nExhibition: Indigenous Accents\nArtist: Raj Kishore Gupta\nCurator: Uma Nair\nVenue: LTC Gallery\, Bikaner House\, New Delhi\nDates: 2 July – 6 July 2026 \nLocation Map
