Ever Bake in Shalimar Bagh is a goto place whenever we are in this area. And that is quite often either to watch a movie at PVR Shalimar Bagh or visit to Fortis for my mother’s regular checkups. Ever Bake is a small bakery cum confectionery shop that has a few live counters outside. They serve items like rumali roti and kaathi kebabs, pao bhaji, pasta, noodles and recently chur chur naan thali etc. They only have vegetarian options and one has to prepay inside the shop. There is no sitting arrangement or dining area inside the shop. There are a few tables outside where one can have these snacks standing.

Rumali roti and kebabs are absolute favorites here. Probably one of the best in Delhi. This is one of our staple combo items at Ever Bake. The rumali roti is not procured from outside and warmed here, but made from the dough right at the live counter. That’s the reason why it tastes better than other places. Pao bhaji and pasta are also nice. When we visited recently we tried their veg noodles for the first time and quite liked it. They have acquired some more space adjacent to their shop and are making north Indian food there. We opted for a special chur chur naan thali from this counter. The chur chur naan came with dal makhni, shahi paneer, kabuli chana, raita, salad, pickle and chutney. This was freshly made, tasty and filling.

The prices of these dishes are a little high for a takeaway joint in Shalimar Bagh but the taste and quality somewhat justify that. If you are vegetarian and are in this area for work or pleasure, we would recommend eating at Ever Bake.
