Date: 28 April 2018
Venue: Worldmark Aerocity, Delhi
Aerocity is an oasis in the dry airport area. Till some years ago, this was a barren spot till all the luxury hotels happened here. While we are all for Pullman, K3 or Andaaz, sometimes the heart or the wallet wants a simple dining experience. Aerocity lacked such a space till Food Capital at the Food Court at Worldmark happened.
We recently went for a comedy event here that featured Nishant Tanwar a.k.a. “Joke Singh”. When we reached, Nishant had yet to start his act and the audience seemed to enjoy the initial warmup by other standup comedians. After the standup comedy we were famished and wanted to grab some dinner and moved towards the food court – Food Capital.
The aesthetically designed space had ample sitting arrangement so finding a table here was not difficult. Almost all popular brands had outlets here and we could see Subway, Wow Momos, Biriyani Blues, Asia Seven, Karims, Giannis etc. Given the variety, it was difficult to decide what to order. We finally had Burnt Chilli Fish and Rice from Asia Seven and some Mughlai food from Karims. Any time is tea time for one between us so it had to be some ginger tea from Chai Garam. We were happy to have found another tea place in Gurgaon to add to our list of Tea places in Delhi NCR. Also our discovery of the day was Potato Hut. An outlet serving baked potatoes with various stuffings like Italian pizza, Mexican Tacos and our very own Indian spicy panner. We tried a couple of variants from this outlet. And that completed the dining experience for the evening.
Food Capital at Aerocity fills a deep void. The sheer variety in terms of cuisine and pricing makes it a fuss free and inviting place for an individual or a group. This would be of enormous help when we are flying in to Delhi next time and want to grab a quick bite before heading to our affairs.
To summarise, Food Capital at Worldmark is a great addition to Aerocity and it just makes our lives tad easier.
