Venue: Gallery Cafe, Hyatt Place, Gurgaon
Date: 14 November 2016
Hyatt Place Gurgaon turned two! To celebrate this event there was a Sunday Brunch at the Gallery Café in the hotel and we were invited to the party. The Café overlooked the lawn and the natural light through the French windows on an early winter afternoon made the venue looked very inviting. The live band added to the party feel.
As a commemoration of the anniversary, general manager of the hotel, Ms. Maulina Gupta cut a grand cake. Alongside the guests were indulging in the buffet. The spread comprised Indian, Chinese and continental cuisines. Additionally there were pickled vegetables, soups and a lavish desert spread.
The Chinese dishes were the best. Simple and freshly cooked, the noodles were a treat for the palate. We also liked the soupy vegetable dish on the side. We loved baked potatoesand the pickled items were also very tasty and a great accompaniment with the bread. We have been trying biryanis with zeal wherever we can. The mutton biryani here was mild but fragrant and made our soul very happy. The deserts looked great and the taste lived up to the looks. Fresh beer was light and refreshing and was a great side with all the dishes.
What didn’t work for us was the soup. The chicken soup had a salt overload. Apart from the biryani, the other Indian dishes could have been better.
Double cheers to Hyatt Place Gurgaon!
