Get a taste of Macao in Delhi NCR

Dec 15, 2018 | Food, Travel

Date: 30 Nov – 2 Dec
Venue: DLF Cyberhub Gurgaon

Most of us know Macao for the casino Venetian. I have visited that place myself and can vouch that it is one fancy property. The painted sky looks so real inside this casino that it is like day forever. Anybody who is visiting Hong Kong visits Macao to do Venetian. An that is a little sad.

Because there is lot more here. Pristine beaches, Portuguese and Chinese culture and great food – different yet very friendly with Indian taste buds. Macao Tourism recently held an exhibition at CyberHub, Gurgaon between 30th November and 2nd December 2018 to orient us to the potentials of Macao as a holiday destination. They had a host of fun activities lined for entertaining the visitors. They had a booth where calligraphists would write your name in Chinese characters. A food stall was selling Macao food and we loved the egg tarts – flaky pastry with gooey custard filling. The dumplings, reddened with beet root extract  were also very tasty.

There was a cool laser show about tourism in Macao. This was followed by cultural programs. We watched a few random group dances and a lion dance that was oh-so-shootworthy. Fantastic packages for a holiday in Macao were also being sold here.

Net-net we quite loved what we saw. Macao Tourism’s exhibition was quite an eye opener. Macao could be your next holiday destination for all those of you who are considering Thailand / Singapore / Malaysia again. You can thank us later.

SOmetimes, when you just cant travel yet to the place you want, an exhibit is a nice way to have a glimpse of the place. This is such a worthy exhibit.

I have heard of the painted sky affect. It makes people stay longer in the casinos because it still feels like it is daylight outside. Tricks the mind so you spend more $$$. Whoever thought that up is an evil genius!
