Venue: Galleria, Gurgaon
Date: 22 January 2017
Galleria Market in Sector 27 Gurugram, once upon a time, was a community shopping area. It has transformed its character over time and it’s now a shopping as well as eating hub. Being in the neighborhood we keep coming to Galleria for chai at Chaayos or Tea Halt or a snack at InstaPizza. This time it was ice cream at Ice Pan Creamery on the first floor of this market.

This is a happy looking space, more like a take away joint, with some bright yellow high chairs and stools. They have ice cream rolls, shakes, sorbets and waffles on their menu. We have come across the concept of creamery at Icy Fusion in Rohini. They use the same process here, when they roll the ice cream on a cold stone and mix with flavors.
We tasted nutella, banana toffee, strawberry and peanut butter waffles. The freshly made waffles tasted good with the respective toppings and even better with vanilla ice cream that was served on the side. Between the Faroe Rocher and hazelnut shakes, we recommend the later. It was smooth and moderately sweet. In fact we liked the fact that none of the items that we tasted were overtly sweet.
For us the hero of the evening was banaarasi paan ice cream roll. The flavor was intact and they had infused bits of the paan that created the texture of the beetle leaf in the ice cream. The way this item is being designed is unique and is a must try!
They have some sandwiches and snacks in their menu but these are yet to be introduced.
Ice Pan Creamery is definitely worth a shot.
