We would have dined at Juneja’s like a hundred times and never got down to write about it. Maybe because it’s a basic, no frills place and we find it difficult to find fancy words to describe this restaurant and their food.

Finally to give credit where it’s due, Juneja’s located in south Delhi’s Meherchand Market close to India Habitat Centre is our all time favorite for simple non vegetarian food.

This is a small place tucked between fancy and better known joints like Elma’s and Kunafa. The beauty of this place is that they deliver every single time we dine there. We have had their roasted chicken, chicken tikkas, fish tikka, butter chicken along with naan and tandoori roti several times and we always liked everything we ordered. But we would like to especially mention their Dahi Chicken. This is one dish that keeps us coming here again and again. It is like butter chicken except the gravy is made of curd and feels much lighter with a peculiar slightly sour taste of curd. A couple of tandoori rotis along with their Dahi chicken is enough for us to be happy and satiated. It is always mild on spices and quality and the freshness of chicken has never disappointed us. The breads, be it naan, tandoori or rumali roti, are always good.

The place is well managed and is always clean, smells good, the staff is courteous and service is prompt. They play soothing music and the bill never pinches the pocket.

One can easily consider it for frequent dining.
